Description

We are currently hiring for a Senior Sous Chef who will be leading and working with a dynamic team in Senneville, Quebec for a leading tech company. We believe that our kitchens are only as good as their leadership team. In the role of Senior Sous Chef, your primary objective is to support the Executive Chef and lead the kitchen in their absence to the same standards of execution. A Sous Chef must be a creative person with a passion for amazing food, who has strong technical and leadership skills to match.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes client satisfaction by ensuring all food is executed to standard.
  • Meets food cost target through maintaining inventory and ordering systems.
  • Support Executive Chef in Menu development.
  • Trains all cooks on the proper and consistent execution of all dishes.
  • Maintaining a spotlessly clean kitchen and back of the house.
  • Adhering to all food handling and health & safety procedures and ensuring that all food service
  • standards and quality requirements are met.
  • Conducting Line Checks and Pre-shift meetings prior to service.
  • Fostering an atmosphere of hard work, discipline, respectful communication, cooperation andpositivity amongst all staff.
  • Demonstrating a high level of self-discipline in work habits, work quality, and the pursuit of new.professional knowledge & skills.
  • Hands on food preparation and serving when needed.

Le sous-chef doit ªtre cr©atif, il doit ©galement ªtre passionn© de nourriture exceptionnelle et poss©der des comp©tences techniques et de leadership ©tendues.

 

Responsabilit©s

  • Promouvoir la satisfaction des clients en sassurant que tous les aliments sont ex©cut©s selon les normes.
  • Respecter les co»ts des aliments en maintenant les stocks et en g©rant les syst¨mes dapprovisionnement.
  • Soutenir le chef principal au d©veloppement du menu.
  • Former tous les cuisiniers   faire les plats de fa§on conforme et ad©quate.
  • Maintenir la cuisine et les zones de production dans un ©tat de propret© immacul©e.
  • Se conformer   tous les processus de sant© et s©curit© et de manipulation des aliments et sassurer
  • que les normes de service de la nourriture et les exigences de qualit© sont respect©es.
  • Mener des r©unions avant les quarts de travail et faire les v©rifications des postes avant le service.
  • Favoriser une atmosph¨re de travail acharn©, la discipline, la communication respectueuse, la coop©ration et un climat positif entre les employ©s.
  • Faire preuve dun degr© ©lev© dautodiscipline dans ses habitudes de travail, la qualit© de son travail et laquªte de nouvelles habilet©s et comp©tences professionnelles.
  • Donner un coup de main   la pr©paration des aliments et au service, au besoin.

Qualifications

  • French is required/ English is an asset. 
  • Strong Leadership and Communication skills.
  • Minimum 3 Years as a Sous Chef and prior experience, cooking and managing in a fast paced, creative culinary environment.
  • Solid technical culinary foundation.
  • Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation.
  • ServSafe training an asset.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification.
  • Health & Safety Certification an asset
