Sodexo is hiring a Demonstration Cooking Sous Chef in the Greater Austin, TX Area.

Supporting 31 campuses with 25,000+ enrollment this exciting position will provide the WOW Factor through Demonstration Cooking rotating between designated campuses and will report directly to the Executive Chef 3. Our program runs a Seamless Summer Program, supporting our community all summer with remote distribution.  Strict compliance with USDA Standards within this large and fast growing school district is a must. Our successful candidate will have exceptional knife skills, excellent sanitation practices and will inspire and engage students, customers, clients and the Sodexo Teams. Clear Driving Record required.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
