The Team

SVS is located in multiple strategic regions around the globe - Reading (UK), Raleigh (RTP), Tokyo (Japan) & Bangalore (India), enabling a consistent and relevant customer experience across barriers of time zone, language, and local regulations. This role is specifically for a Tokyo-based leader focused on delivery in SVS that includes technology segments such as R/S, SP, Data Center, Mobility, Automation, Virtualization and Enterprise Networking

What youll do

SVS is seeking a Manager to lead a team of Consulting engineers responsible for providing Solution & Validation Services on technology segments such as R/S, SP, Data Center, Mobility, Virtualization and Enterprise Networking

This role will report to Senior Manager/Director in Solution and Validation Services, CX Centre Tokyo. The Manager will work with local and regional peers to deliver the following priorities and outcomes:

  • Scale and lead an innovative, flexible, delivery organization that consistently delivers high quality, business relevant client-focused outcomes
  • Manage team members consistent with management processes and structure
  • Drive productivity through process rigor and innovative ways of working to execute improvements
  • Support organizational set-up and growth; a main contributor to the culture growth, delivery methodology fine-tuning as well as harvesting the best practices from the programs driven.
  • Manage and Develop Talent: Transform talent, build capabilities in new technology areas. Lead the organization in active listening and career development with a comprehensive focus on building role-relevant technical, business and leadership skills and certifications. Employee feedback survey results, event count and evaluation/feedback, early in career hiring and retention targets, will be used to measure progress throughout the year.
  • Participates in major cross-functional projects affecting Cisco business, product, or service leadership. Works with little or no direction and is mindful of organizational goals and objectives. Independently identifies complex issues and resolves complex problems that impact strategic direction
  • Accelerate Employee Engagement: Drive business impact by being a diverse and inclusive leader who actively engages employees and business partners in a way that they feel welcomed, valued, respected, and heard. This behavior drives improved engagement, which can result in increased productivity, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Engage with stake holders like Sales, Service delivery Executives to seek new business opportunity for SVS and Cisco.
  • Interlock with Customer and Partners to develop and improve capacity and capability to meet market dynamics
  • Develop strategy and execute action items to develop business and our growth.

  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • Executive communicator comfortable and experienced at senior executive levels.
  • Team player - comfortable that your success rests on helping others to be successful
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a science, business or telecommunications discipline
  • Acumen in finance and operations is valued
  • Demonstrates strategic skills. Excellent working relationships with other customer service organizations within Cisco and with appropriate business units.
  • Ability to formulate and deliver complex presentations throughout Cisco and to customer technical departments.
