What You'll Do

This role will continue the efforts in flight to create a software practice framework and ultimately establish an operational practice across CPS IB & Data Ops in line with the companys transformation efforts and strategy. The primary assignments of this function are centered around the interconnected spaces of DNA & Security renewals and Software Asset Management.

IB & Data Operations (IBDO) is an organization, within Customer & Partner Services (CPS), established with the mission to accelerate core and installed base insight-driven business outcomes at scale across Cisco globally with operational excellence achieved through collaborative partnership, process digitization and automation, data and process governance, and globally consistent execution delivered through its four teams: IBA and Renewal Readiness, Cisco Asset Management, Data Operations and Business Automation.

IBDO is seeking an innovator, creative and curious professional to serve as a practice enablement specialist responsible for ensuring that the right level of competency in the software space is available across the organization in order to drive best in class service delivery, fit for purpose, aligned with new approaches and market direction - the primary assignments of this role are centered around the interconnected spaces of DNA & Security renewals and Software Asset Management.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leadership to understand strategic business goals and help design scalable & efficient delivery processes that support field key initiatives;
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, development partners and peers on other multi-functional teams to accelerate enablement plans and delivery readiness;
  • Suggest industry standard methodologies and areas of improvements in the current business process, and identify aspects that can benefit from automation;
  • Participate in process and delivery Early Field Trials in order to analyze user data, conduct usability tests and transfer outcomes to concrete delivery implementations;
  • Design, develop and execute new enablement plans as needed;
  • Develop blueprints, user journeys, wireframes and create prototypes to support business;
  • Identifying content needed to support execution plans, co-creating and curating training content and coordinating delivery through appropriate delivery channels;
  • Maintain regular communication with regional delivery teams to ensure awareness of enablement activities, execute regional-specific requirements, impact on business results, and opportunities to optimize delivery;
  • Participate in and maintain a systematic feedback loop with the IBDO community to accelerate understanding of the benefits and impact of Ciscos business shift to a software-centric approach;
  • Foster an environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing through avenues such as working groups and communities of practices;
  • Undertake post implementation analysis to facilitate Continual Improvement where required;
  • Prepare and present results and insights pertaining to enablement plan performance during operational reviews.

  • Business Acumen: Clear understanding of high-level business landscape including key strategic priorities, business outcomes and processes;
  • Results Oriented: Interest in and proven execution ability with relevant Customer outcomes;
  • First Responder: Skilled at issue management and managing stakeholder and Customer expectations;
  • Effective Communicator: Delivers complex information in a confident and convincing manner, appropriate to a diverse audience that produces clarity and impact.
  • 8+ years of professional experience, preferably in Business Architecture, Process, Operations or Data Analytics;
  • Bachelors Degree or related equivalent working experience;
  • Consistent record of developing and championing cross-functional relationships;
  • Self-motivated and confirmed problem-solving skills - creative person with logical and analytical, problem solving, attention to detail and ability to adapt to changes and new ideas.
  • Ability to deeply understand, resolve and communicate quasi-technical and business issues to individuals and groups up and down the organization stack;
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and going for objectives in a very fast paced environment;
  • Strong business acumen - knowledge of Cisco Operations, Customer Lifecycle and Installed Base database schema;
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
  • Own and drive scope with minimal over-sight.
