Responsibilities

Perspecta Labs delivers world class networking, machine learning, cyber research and engineering to government agencies, telecom carriers, utilities, and commercial enterprises. Drawing on its Bell Labs heritage, Perspecta Labs excels at creating innovative technologies and services to solve the most difficult and complex problems. We are looking for candidates with a strong software development skills to work with a team of research scientists to implement and test solutions in areas mentioned below.

Perspecta Labs is looking for an experienced software engineer with strong programming skills to help build, refactor, and enhance systems implementing distributed operations. The successful candidate will have a track record of working effectively in teams, proactively identifying issues and independently solving problems. The candidate will have demonstrably good communication skills that facilitate collaboration on large systems development efforts. Projects within the lab will typically involve technologies such as microservices, container-based orchestration, cyber security, virtualization, TCP/IP networking and operating system internals, thus experience with some or all of these would be a significant plus.

Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.

Required Qualifications

Computer Science, ECE or a related field
Working with a team of scientists and engineers
Independently solving problems in design and implementation of complex systems
Designing and implementing software capabilities in C/C++
Demonstrating implemented capabilities to customers
Strong software and systems skills (including Linux and Windows) and software development (C/C++, Java, scripting languages: Python/Perl).
Experience with source control tools such as git
Experience with working in DevSecOps environment
Familiarity with networking using TCP/UDP/IP
US citizen with an active US DOD security clearance at or above Secret level

Salary Minimum: $71,531.20 Salary Maximum:$152,921.60 The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Perspecta salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Perspecta's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Perspecta provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
