Job Description Software Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer to join us at an exciting and transformational time. Key Technical Skills

  • Comprehensive background in React, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, responsive design, and consuming web services
  • Significant experience with automated, cross-browser testing
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications
  • Experience using a version control system, such as Git
  • Experience with configuration management tools, experience with Cloud Technology Stacks.
  • Experience using Jira

What Youll Do

  • Understanding of Agile delivery Methodologies. Comfortable working in teams, leveraging kanban or scrum boards
  • Design and implement complex software applications, focusing on creating delightful user experiences
  • Be a critical part of the development team by implementing and deploying complex software applications
  • Apply software engineering best practices along with a security first mindset in a scrum team
  • Maintain and expand knowledge and skills of current and emerging technologies to improve existing Cisco Webex Collaboration suite
  • Present, share and demonstrate your work to team members and stakeholders
  • Working with the design, engineering and software testing team.
  • Leading or working in project teams on cross-functional initiatives to support the local, regional and global Cisco IT.
  • Mentor junior members on the team

Who You Are?

  • You probably have had one or two different roles as software developer.
  • You are self-educating and -motivated through curiosity, a passion for exploring and developing code.
  • You are proficient in modern frontend technologies and are skilled at being the link between the backend and the user experience.
  • You like working in a broad area and feel comfortable learning new things.
  • You show and like having ownership in parts of our total code base.
  • You are actively contributing with ideas on how to continuously improve the product.
  • You are collaborative, flexible and can work well cross-functionally and globally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in agile organizations and preferably certified in agile practices.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or meaningful work experience.
  • Working Experience in JIRA, JIRA Align, AHA

Behavioral Competencies

  • Must be a team player and work well in small and large group environments.
  • Must be highly driven and motivated with high level of initiative.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
