Sodexo has a new opening for a Future Leader Food Manager Intern at Dillard University located in New Orleans, LA.  This is a full time position of 40 hours per week and will last for a period of 10 weeks between June and August of 2020.  The pay rate for this internship is $12.50/hour.

The Sodexo Future Leaders Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for currently enrolled college students to turn their leadership potential into valuable professional experience and get a head start on their careers.


Through practical work experience, the intern will acquire the management skills necessary to succeed as a Food Service Manager with Sodexo.  The intern will be assigned a MENTOR and participate in professional development webinars. They will also gain practical experience in food production, administration, finance, retail, service, marketing, safety and catering management.


Finally, they will conduct peer training and assist the management team as needed. Interns are supervised by, and report to, a General Manager.

This full time (40 hour/week) nternship will take place at Dillard University in New Orleans, LA.


What will I do in this role?


The Summer intern will be introduced to: food management, menu planning, labor management, ordering, inventory, food Safety, physical Safety, and financial analysis.  Work may also include supporting various projects and monthly fiscal close. The intern will also prepare an end-of-work term presentation on their knowledge and experience gained.

    Position is part of a formal internship program in professional development in the contract management services industry. Supports business units and assists in projects. Builds skills and knowledge in large corporate and team environment

    Qualifications & Requirements
