Sodexo is seeking a Social Media Specialist to Help shape the digital presence of Sodexo in North America by supporting the evolution of the organizations social media channels and engagement to strengthen brand and reputation and support marketing goals.  This is a virtual position but preference is for candidates to be located in Maryland, Dallas, or Chicago.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

Collaborate with regional and segment marketers and communicators to plan, develop and execute social media campaigns and content that drive successful business outcomes by identifying, sourcing and developing content across the business for publishing on digital platforms. Support social media management including day-to-day social media content planning, publishing, moderation, real-time engagement, and reporting to enable effective digital marketing activities using performance measures and insights, market research, and industry data to inform and validate recommendations.

 

Support social analytics, digital listening and reporting to drive decision-making and demonstrate ROE and ROI. Support governance activities including developing standard operating procedures, documenting best practices, developing and conducting trainings, and providing guidance to marketing and communications partners to help increase engagement and expand outreach efforts.

 

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who are/have:

  • 3 years of experience managing social media channels for professional business purposes
  • Experience collaboratively planning and developing content to drive engagement on social media channels 
  • Experience crafting high-quality appropriate content and guiding creative for different audiences and different social media channels, as well as editing and proofreading to ensure high level of quality control
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies to include global social media platforms, cross-platform content strategy, paid social, content marketing, audience experience and engagement, and measurement for a brand
  • Experience using social media management tools (e.g., SproutSocial, Hootsuite, Sprinklr) and social listening platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Synthesio, Simply Measured) to manage and measure social media activities
  • Excellent project management skills to be efficient in managing workload and communicating tasks across a diverse team, with a proven ability to juggle several projects at the same time
  • Associate's Degree preferred

Position Summary

Assist in effectively leveraging digital communications specifically social media engagement toward achieving specific business outcomes. Works to enhance social media presence and engagement across the organization and through relevant channels. Assists to educate and coordinate social media adoption to include brand awareness. This new role will be multi-faceted, involving creating, engaging and connecting. Incumbent will assist with the following components: Creating content for Sodexo use through unpaid, digital media using text, imagery, info-graphics, video, digital polling, chat, forums, digital seminars, workshops and events and managing editorial calendars to ensure continuous and optimized presence on social media platforms that support targeted, positive user experience. Ensure external content is continually refreshed and improved, that content is cross-purposed (across market segments, platforms, properties, etc.) and that external user experience is continuously improved in order to build affinity for the Sodexo brand. Assist in coordinating to who, where, and when to disseminate public relations products then listening to users, facilitating opportunities for user-generated content, supporting development of digital communities, and capturing and applying feedback and metrics.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
