Successful candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate a wide range of ship engineering efforts for the US Navy, Marine Corps, Coast, Guard, and/or Military Sealift command. Efforts will include research, development, test and evaluation of platforms, systems, subsystems, components and appurtenances for ships, submarines, and advanced marine vehicle research and development programs. Candidate shall conduct case studies, edit statements of work and specifications, perform scheduling and engineering design trade-off analyses, supervise technical staff, and participate in multidisciplinary design, development, test planning, test execution and recovery of complex technical systems.


  • BS in Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine (Ocean) Engineering or Naval Architecture.
  • At least 15 years experience in an engineering lead position planning, directing, and coordinating engineering programs for the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command in areas described in the position description and a background in supervision of technical staff.
  • Knowledgeable in computer-aided design and drafting and fully proficient with office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
