Pfizer Grange Castle, one of the largest integrated biopharmaceutical plants in the world is to start producing supplies of the Covid 19 vaccine.Up to $40m will be invested in our manufacturing facility which will lead to a creation of a diverse set of roles across ourbusiness. The Grange Castle facility will now produce the MRNA drug substance, making it only the second plant outside of our flagship factory in Andover, Massachusetts to do so.

**About the role:**



**24/7 Shift positon**



To ensure the Process area operates in safe and GMP compliant manner at all times. To develop and performance manage the team of Process Technicians.



+ Supervise the Process Technician Team, to ensure safe and timely completion of all Process Activities according to cGMP's

+ Coordinate the workload of your team in order to meet schedules and timelines.

+ Mentor and coach full team in order to ensure full performance potential.

+ Set performance goals and objectives for team, and conduct performance appraisals.

+ Network with all shift supervisors/RFT Specialists and track area progress on key issues.

+ Work with the Shift Supervisors/RFT Specialists (Shift Leadership Team). Drive Shift Metrics for your team.

+ Coordinate and participate in facility and equipment start-up activities, provide input on equipment installation, start-up, operation and troubleshooting eventually leading to sustained operations (shift/non-shift).

+ Participate in and attend cross-functional (multidiscipline) meetings.

+ Lead project-related working groups (cross-functional) in order to troubleshoot any issues and to generate policies, etc.

+ Coordinate investigations and corrective action follow-up to ensure closure (for example, audits).

+ Act as interface between management team and functional team.

+ Assist with the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and validation documents for equipment and procedures, and assist in the writing of area status reports, regulatory documents, and process descriptions.

+ Drive implementation and embedding of Lean Tools in the area (Standard Work, 5S, Yellow Belt)

+ Promote and Role Model all aspects of Pfizer IIF and Culture Programs.

+ Assist with the development of your unit from commissioning, through to start-up, validation, and cGMP operations.

+ Complete Monthly One: Ones with all direct reports

+ Ensure contingent staff are managed appropriately - performance, training, 1-1

+ Develop SMART Objectives for the full team

+ Develop development plans

+ Develop CI capability and utilize CI tools to drive improvements within your area

+ Best practices developed and shared with other teams /sites.

+ Best practices actively sought and copied.



**About you:**



To be successful in this role you will require:



+ Minimum of leaving cert/A level. Degree level qualification desirable.

+ Minimum 3 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment

+ Prior relevant Leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing operations environment

+ Working knowledge of production operations, scheduling, design, planning, etc.

+ Ability to upgrade or direct technical aspects of equipment installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair, or to obtain appropriate outside repair services to accomplish same

+ Previous experience defining and establishing area of responsibility policies and SOPs

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
