**Shift Operations Lead - Pfizer Grange Castle**

**Job Purpose:**



You will lead a Shift Operations team in Drug Substance Proteins to manufacture products to the required safety, quality, supply and cost requirements to meet the business needs. You will work in partnership with the Shift operations Specialists (SOS) and Shift Leads within a Peer to Peer framework to meet the OpU objectives.



**Job Responsibilities:**



+ Provide coverage on the floor.

+ Support prioritization and oversee assignment of activities on the floor.

+ Ensure Culture of safe work behaviors in place.

+ Ensure EM controls and behaviors are in place.

+ Perform quality checks on processing activities and process confirmations of IMEx elements.

+ Your individual performance will be tied to performance of your Shift.

+ Provide leadership as per Supportive Leadership, High Support-High Challenge, Transactional Analysis and Johari Window Models.

+ Oversee and proactively address operations and employee relation issues. Ensure the correct escalation path is applied as necessary.

+ Set performance goals and objectives individually for Shift Colleagues and conduct performance appraisals.

+ Perform documented monthly 1-1s with Shift Colleagues.

+ Facilitate training plans for Shift Colleagues within their role and support assignment of responsibilities outside of role and area of responsibility as appropriate.

+ Accountable for supporting Shift Colleagues Individual Development Plan.

+ Update, track and manage time & attendance for Shift Colleagues.

+ Responsible for compensation planning for Shift Colleagues.

+ Lead GS and GPS process for Shift.

+ Lead Safety Incidents on Shift.

+ Initiate events, lead Human Error investigations using PHP, support robust root cause analysis and on time CAPA implementation.

+ Lead SAP materials process for Shift.

+ Support strategic programs and projects in Drug Substance Proteins.



+ Champion IMEx on Shift and lead improvements of standards across all elements.

+ IMEx SME for the following elements:

+ Visual Management & Meeting Cascade

+ 5S

+ Structured GEMBA

+ Process Centric Teams



+ Ambassador for the DS Proteins and Grange Castle.



**Education/Experience:**



+ Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing operations.

+ Prior relevant Leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing operations environment desirable.

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

+ An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a complex, fast-paced and goal driven environment.

+ Strong decision making capability.

+ Demonstrated ability to lead change,

+ Working knowledge of six sigma and Lean Tools.

+ Ability to build a culture of positive engagement.

+ Third level Qualification in Science, Engineering or equivalent is preferred, though not essential.Exceptions may be considered where relevant skills/experience and correct attitude and behaviors exist (this may be supplemented by further education in parallel).
