**About the Team:**

The mission of our Digital Operations team is to operate a fault resilient, customer-centered, proactive DevOps team. The team is responsible for supporting systems that deliver AT&Ts customer experience, across multiple internet-facing eCommerce applications, databases, platforms and technology stacks. Our customer-journey centric Ops team is made up of Ops Engineers as well as Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) who are all focused on ensuring a highly available, resilient, performant and secure customer experience.

**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a self-motivated Tier 2 Sr. Production Support Engineer with previous success and experience in resolving production customer facing incidents for large scale mission critical applications. The primary objective of this role is to ensure incident Mean Time To Restoral (MTTR) is kept to a minimum and continually reduced. This position will be brought in to resolve complex technical production incidents which will require a continually increasing technical knowledge of the supported systems. Additionally, this position will conduct in-depth technical resolution of production incidents to avoid customer impact and implement technical solutions and procedures to avoid repeated future incidents. Those performing this role will create complex application monitors and dashboards which will be leveraged by Tier 1 Production Support resources. Deployment of production application code for production releases will be performed, along with building out of new production environments and configuration/optimization of those environments as needed. This position will require strong analytical and multi-tasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Tier 2 Sr. Production Support Engineer will need to possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**

+ 24 x 7 Production support and second level trouble shooting of incidents for mission critical high-performance applications

+ 24 x 7 second level outage response for mission critical high-performance applications

+ 24 x 7 Application performance monitoring, troubleshooting and corrective actions for mission critical high-performance applications

+ Create and maintain application monitors / Dashboards on mainstream monitoring platforms

+ Support incident management and problem management

**Shift timing (if any):**

+ Shift falls typically between 6 am to 10 PM India standard time. Occasionally may have to work long hours in situations when it is needed.

**Location: Hyderabad**

**Primary / Mandatory skills:**

+ **Overall Experience:** 6 to 10 years experience in Production Support / Operations environment

+ Strong experience in Unix, Networking and troubleshooting knowledge, Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud environments: **3 - Intermediate (practical application)**

+ Experience creating application monitors or dashboards: **3 - Intermediate (practical application)**

+ Experience in one of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Shell Scripts: **3 - Intermediate (practical application)**

+ Experience managing webservers, app servers, cache engines, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins: **3 - Intermediate (practical application)**

+ Experience with Ansible or Terraform: **3 - Intermediate (practical application)**

+ Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to work in a Global team

**Secondary / Desired skills:**

+ Experience with Site Reliability Engineering: **2 - Novice (limited experience)**

+ Experience with Content Management Systems Adobe Experience Manager or sanity.io highly desired: **2 - Novice (limited experience)**

**Additional information (if any):** Willing to work in Shift Duties, Willingness to learn is very important as AT&T offers excellent environment to learn Digital Transformation skills such as cloud, Big data, AI, Full stack etc.

**Education Qualification:** Bachelors/ Masters degree in Computer Science or related field

**Certifications (if any specific):** Any Certification related to Primary / Mandatory Skills

+ Microsoft Azure/Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification or Kubernetes Certified Engineer highly desired


+ 5+ years experience providing Production Support for large scale mission critical applications

+ 5+ years experience debugging and resolving production issues using at least two of the following: Splunk, Elasticsearch/Kibana, Dynatrace, Quantum Metrics, Nagios, Introscope or Catchpoint

+ 3+ years experience in Python or Shell scripting

+ 2+ years of strong Linux, Unix, Networking and troubleshooting knowledge

+ 2+ years experience creating application monitors or dashboards

+ Experience working in a large scale technically diverse organization
