Who Youll Work With
The Americas Sales Architecture organization was set up to operationalize a consistent, scalable model for Ciscos sales and SA's across North and South America.  We are seeking a dynamic engineering leader for the Mass Scale Infrastructure Group
(MIG) Network Center of Excellence team which will cover Cisco's Service Provider Routing, Optical, Optics and Automation product lines. This leadership role will require engagement with the Business Unit leadership teams and the America's field sales leadership teams to ensure alignment to optimally drive growth for the multi-billion dollar Packet and Optical business.

What You'll Do
We are looking for a leader to craft and execute strategy, lead, build and grow the MIG Network specialist organization.  Your team will be the experts for bringing together Cisco's MIG Network technology to the Service Provider (SP) market.  You will be working with the largest Service Providers in North and South America leading the team as they partner with the field sales organization as we build the next generation of Network to enable SP offerings like 5G, IoT & Business Services.

Responsibilities Include
Work with the various internal stakeholders (Sales Specialist, Field Sales team) and development teams to define the initiatives that will optimize profitable growth and market share gain in the US.

  • Establish Enablement Priorities:  Develop and execute training plans what will ensure Solution Architects are adequately trained to effectively and efficiently drive the MIG business.
  • Assist in Demand Generation:  Define Demand Generation Priorities, assist internal stakeholders in creating and delivering Demand Generation material and priorities.
  • Help lead Strategic Engagements:  Partner with Development and Field Sales teams to identify strategic partners and engagements, define success criteria, assist in critical escalation and resolve challenges that may arise as we transform customer networks.
  • Customer and Partner Engagements:  Assist in growing and educating customer and partner community as needed.
  • Team Leadership:  Define and drive specific cultures to attract and retain the best specialist engineering talent in the industry. Coaching, mentoring, career development and career path within and outside the direct team. Establish and execute lightweight processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness in engaging specialists.
  • Business Partner:  Optimize organization structure (always happening) in partnership with Sales Leadership aligned to business priorities to improve bookings in minimize operational expenses. Ability to clearly articulate both technical and business issues, challenges and gaps to leadership.

  • Have at least 2 years of management experience
  • Have led a diverse team of people leaders and individuals
  • Have a solid mastery of Service Provider Networking (IP Routing & Optical) technologies
  • Solid Understanding of Network Operations and ability to articulate value in Automation/Orchestration
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives beyond immediate area of responsibility
  • Monitor and measure team progress against a business plan
  • Clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas, including expert executive communication and presentation skills
  • Lead team to technical account strategies that align to customer business requirements and goals; assign resources appropriately
  • Develop senior management relationships with partners, customers, and business groups
  • Provide thought leadership to customer and partner based on short and long-term business and industry drivers
  • Initiate programs to improve customer experience to increase brand loyalty for Cisco
  • Facilitate specialist understanding of customer requirements between customers, corporate, and the field
  • Understand of competitive products and articulate trade-offs between Cisco and competitor products
