This career step requires senior level experience. Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. May also be responsible for software installations and 24/7 production support.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Performs one or more of the following functions: Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Installs and monitors security auditing software and remediates defects based on ATT security policies. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Provides technical oversight during installations and recovery projects. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. Configures and extends vendor software to deliver solutions for internal customers to meet departmental or enterprise business needs in addition to providing extended support as needed. Collaborates with vendors on product capabilities and improvements needed to meet ATT requirements.

This position provides architecture and engineering responsibilities for AT&Ts global Active Directory environments, both on-prem and in the Azure cloud. This includes providing operational troubleshooting and Tier 3 support functions. This Systems Administrator position is responsible for the overall integration of Active Directory and data synchronization tools, including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the desktop/server environment. Admins are required to perform administration of not just AD, but also of the tools which provide: monitoring, threat detection, recovery, auditing, group policy management, synchronization, federation, etc.

Required Skills: Active Directory 8 to 10 years experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Active Directory in a large-scale corporate environment. Both on-prem and cloud skills are required to support AT&Ts hybrid AD solution. The individual will frequently collaborate with development groups, HW/SW support teams and client organizations in re-engineering and/or developing system designs that integrate technology upgrades into the business.

Desired Skills: Active Directory Migrations 5 years experience supporting large scale enterprise user & computer migrations. Disaster Recovery 5 years experience supporting, documenting, and performing exercises related to AD restoral. AD Group Policy - 5 years experience related to performing GPO deployments utilizing Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Objects and Group Policy tools such as Quest GPOAdmin. Audit 5 years experience performing data collection and compliance documentation related to SOX, PCI, ASPR, and other regulatory audits. Provide 24/7 Tier 3 support of Mission Critical systems and engage in on-call rotation. Ensure service availability and optimal performance of all AD systems and tools. Provide strong troubleshooting capabilities and during incident/outage events.

Job Contribution: Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on ATT technologies.

Education: Bachelors of Science in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science or Engineering preferred.

Experience: Typically requires 5-8 years experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

**Required Qualifications** -

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field

+ 8-10 years experience

+ Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Windows, Linux)

+ Understanding of Change Management Life Cycle Principles

+ System Support and Trouble Analysis skills (root cause analysis, alarm management platforms, troubleshooting, etc)

+ 1 st level vendor certifications

+ Sun Certified System Administrator

+ MCSE certified

+ Knowledge of call processing

+ Server & System Administration skills

+ Knowledge of Analysis Tools (Access 7, GeoProbe, GSTool, RCATS)

+ Hardware installation and repair skills

+ Knowledge of OSI network protocol design

+ Hardware/software skills necessary to support the telephony/voice infrastructure (Aspect, Avaya, Cisco, Nortel)

+ Knowledge of Configuration, Backup, and Restoral processes necessary to support the telephony/voice infrastructure

+ Experience using and writing technical documentation

+ High level vendor certifications (i.e. CCNA)
