The Sr. Sourcing Manager is an individual contributor role that reports to the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing, Professional Services / Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). The right candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced competitive and changing environment, while effectively collaborating and communicating in alignment with the Cox culture. Main responsibility will be to lead and manage strategic sourcing events in collaboration with business and boundary partners.





The Sr. Sourcing Manager is involved in leading the development and execution of the various category plans / sourcing strategies for Enterprise Indirect sourcing programs and events. These plans and strategies can span any of the categories/sub-categories within the Professional Services, BPO and Staff Augmentation domain and impact any (or all) business units of Cox Automotive, Cox Communications, and Cox Enterprises. Responsibilities include executing specific assigned sourcing strategies, leading the sourcing process including market research and spend baselining, analyzing sourcing results, performing supplier capability assessments, selecting supplier, and supporting the contracting process. In addition, the Sr. Sourcing Manager executes analytics to effectively track and report the performance of specific assigned categories or projects.





*Purpose (Overall Accountability)*

Supports execution of category strategies and supplier management for any of the categories/sub-categories within the Professional Services, BPO and Staff Augmentation domain and impact any (or all) business units of Cox Automotive, Cox Communications, and Cox Enterprises.



*
Responsible for the delivery and execution of strategic sourcing events and projects (RFx, direct negotiations, contract renewals, etc.) in accordance with SLAs, department standards, and business needs.



*
Sets the example for doing the right thing through personal and professional behaviors of honesty, integrity, and keeping commitments.



*
Responsible for delivering savings and helping achieve diversity spend through project outcomes and selection of diverse suppliers, while balancing the needs and desired business results of business and boundary partners. Results and benefits are measured across financial and operational dimensions, including total cost of ownership, contract quality and time to complete.








*Major Tasks:*





*Strategic Sourcing*




* Develop and execute sourcing activities (RFI, RFQ, events, etc.), evaluate bids and select suppliers to meet internal business needs.

*
Negotiate and implement strategic alliances with suppliers to leverage company-wide volume, optimizing the number of suppliers.



*
Assist and provide guidance on improvement opportunities and ensure that the sourcing strategy is executed properly.



*
Communicate strategies, objectives and performance to senior management and business partners.



*
Solicit formal and informal bids for requested goods.



*
Work with the Category Managers and Leadership Team to execute sourcing events based on leading practices.





*Contract and Compliance Management*




*
Perform analyses of Coxs overall contract usage and spend under contract; leverage contract data to identify improvement opportunities.



*
Understand sourcing strategies and maintain playbooks summarizing best approach to drive internal efficiencies and cost savings strategies.



*
Assist Category Managers in driving compliance to negotiated terms.





*Supplier Relationship Management*




*
Develop strategies and models to qualify and evaluate supplier capabilities related to expertise, industry experience, capacity, quality, operating model, financial stability, strategic positioning in the market, etc.



*
Support the development of supplier performance and capabilities.




Qualifications: *Minimum *




*
Minimum 6 years of business/operational experience in related category and at least 2 years related experience in a Strategic Sourcing/ Supply Chain capacity.



*
Ability to identify opportunities and take necessary actions to continuously improve our value proposition for our customers.



*
Career history of success and advancing to increased responsibility and scope.



*
Experience successfully supporting a large-scale Program Management / Process Improvement / Integration initiatives resulting in organizational change.



*
Solid analytic capabilities required.



*
RFx experience required.



*
Experience assigning and coordinating work of cross-functional team members to accomplish project goals.



*
Advanced experience with MS Office (Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).



*
Self-starter with ability to manage projects and relationships independently.



*
Excellent negotiating and influencing skills through written or verbal communication with specific experience in management reporting and executive presentations.



*
Proven ability to create and execute effective business plans.



*
Solid business financial understanding and exceptional organization and analytical skills.



*
Strong understanding of commodities markets and sourcing commodity-based products



*
Willingness to travel at required times - 10%








*Preferred*




*
BA degree in Business, Engineering or related field.



*
Masters degree in Business or related field.



*
Understanding and demonstrated use Vendor Management System highly desirable.



*
Prior consulting experience



*
Category expertise in the fields of Professional Services (including Management, Financial, and IT Consulting and Application Development & Maintenance) and Temporary Labor (including staff augmentation and light industrial temporary labor).



*
Project Management certification (PMP), Lean or Six Sigma training.



*
Certification in Supply Chain Management (ISM), CPM or related.



*
Project Management certification (PMP), Lean or Six Sigma training.



*
Experience in managing 3rd party labor through a Managed Service Provider.



*
Knowledge of the telecommunications marketplace, or extensive knowledge of a MSOs operations



*
Knowledge of automobile industry, where applicable (varies by category)



*
Prior consulting experience
