What You'll Do

You will interact with multiple teams and craft a solution, drive a coordinated process with product managers to collect business requirements and translate them to technical requirements, and build technical design and get it reviewed by key partners. Subsequently, the developer would develop the solution and verify the design and implement. You'll also work closely with system test and validation engineers to help with system tests and integration.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for Cisco's next generation of WiFi products
• Design, and deliver new software and features for our next generation WiFi Access Points
• Day-to-day activities building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces

Minimum Requirements for this role:

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience of working on Distributed System or Cloud based technologies
• Expertise in Wi-Fi protocols and Experience with Wi-Fi 6 protocols
• Keen understanding of network layer protocols
• Excellent Python/Java/ C++ programmer
• Strong analytical and logical solving skills
• Aptitude to multi-task in fast-paced environment with minimal managerial management
• Skilled at writing distributed platform and system software
• Good understanding of Linux and network resource management
• Strong team building skills and ability to work across departments and with other teams

Desired Skills

• Wireless background, specifically knowledge of 802.11 and WiFi-6 protocols
• Experience in customer deployment
• Experience with system integration of End-end system
• Experience with customer interaction for technical problem-solving
• Capable of owning large portions of the software from a technical perspective
• Self-motivated, strong sense of ownership, and a good teammate
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Open to continuous learning and committed to ongoing self-improvement
• Able to initiate and participate in organizational efforts to improve overall group efficiency and test effectiveness and give to overall test strategies
