The Client Strategies Group (CSG) at Edward Jones is focused on developing a profound
understanding of prospective and current clients needs, in order to create an unparalleled
experience. Leveraging these critical insights, we implement tailored solutions and enhance our

The Sr. Risk Analytics Analyst will join the Client Strategies Group Risk Management department as they grow, scale and mature the division-level risk program. The Sr. Risk Analytics Analyst will be responsible for 1) researching and developing the Client Strategies Group's risk analytics capabilities related to Risk Insights, including quantitative risk analysis, risk reporting, key risk indicators, and scenario analysis, 2) analyzing and communicating how risks have impacted or could impact business results, and 3) performing the function of model risk oversight

* Analysis to facilitate the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights, driving risk-informed decision making. Includes advanced risk analysis, forecasting, data modeling, statistical analysis and complex financial modeling.
* Performs risk attribution analysis on business results.
* Conceives and implements tools and methods of risk evaluation.
* Educate leaders across the Client Strategies Group on analytical concepts and best practices.
* Proactively identify opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and drive implementation of solutions.
* Models and develops risk simulation scenarios across Client Strategies Group risk functions.
* Defines risk modeling methods and framework.
*Skills*
* Expert knowledge of financial services concepts, practices, and procedures, with emphasis on portfolio construction, capital markets, and investment advisory knowledge.
* Proven experience with advanced analytics in a highly complex data environment, preferably in the areas of investment advisory, securities research, or equivalent.
* Detail orientation with exceptional analytical capabilities, possessing the ability to effectively contribute across multiple teams and disciplines.
* Excellent communications skills, with the ability to present complex / abstract concepts in simple, cogent terms.
* The Analyst must have the ability to identify questions, analyze and recommend solutions to senior firm leaders for a broad spectrum of risk measurement intelligence in a clear and concise manner.
* Analyst must have the ability to implement projects of a moderate to high complexity which involve cross-functional teams, and therefore must be able to collaborate well with associates and leadership throughout the firm, including external vendors. Recommendations provided by this individual will impact senior leadership across the Client Strategies Group.

*Qualifications Required in the Job: *
* 7+ years relevant work experience.
* BA required with an emphasis in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, data science, engineering, analytics or relevant work experience.
* Pursuit or completion of graduate level education preferred.
* FRM, PRM, ARPM or CQF certifications preferred.
* Ability to independently identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate, and/or resolve issues.
* Advanced analysis skills, forecasting, and complex modeling. Ability to understand and identify opportunities to apply the different types of statistics and advanced analytical concepts.
* Ability to summarize complex financial and analytical information and concepts, and clearly communicate to leadership.

Exceptional Candidates will have proficiency with most or all the following:
* Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, GRC tools, and other software programs.
* An advanced ability to interact with various databases and file storage systems (DB2, IDMS, Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL).
* Data manipulation languages such as PLSQL, Impala, SQL, Hive, Pig, XML.
* Statistical tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, or Python.
* Business Intelligence such as Micro strategy, Business Objects, SharePoint.
* Data governance or GRC tools such as Logic Manager, Archer, Colliba, informatica, etc.
* Data filtering, manipulation and visualization software such as Excel, Hyperion, Tableau, Qlikview, etc.
