The AT&T Global Public Sector Technology Office supports the US Federal Government and international agencies in designing, documenting, socializing, and ordering critical, full-spectrum data network services, including wireline and wireless data, cybersecurity, and managed network services.


AT&T has an opening for a Principal Cyber Security Architect to support US Federal Government cybersecurity initiatives. The Senior Principal Architect is responsible for serving as a technical leader and a recognized business unit subject-matter expert. As a SPA focused on cybersecurity, this role will include identifying and shaping complex, multi-domain solutions beginning at an early stage of the sale process.


**Job Duties/Responsibilities:**


The Senior Principal Architect is a technology leader who works with clients, engineering staff, and AT&T product teams to develop, promote, and implement integrated solutions. This position requires strong knowledge across multiple cybersecurity domains, such as secure network architectures, identity management, network security monitoring, endpoint detection and response, and threat identification, as well as familiarity with common cyber security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. It also requires knowledge of Federal cybersecurity initiatives such as TIC, FISMA, and FedRAMP, as well as Federal procurement practices and the ability to position AT&T offerings in a competitive marketplace. The ideal candidate leverages this knowledge to analyze markets and opportunities to develop strategic capture plans that maximize AT&T market share in Federal cybersecurity.


**Key Roles and Responsibilities:**


+ Designs and develops solutions that assist customers in managing major business processes in their overall enterprise structure.

+ Develops relationships in industry and government to provide market sensing, strategic insight, and partnering opportunities.

+ Collaborates and confers with the customer in the strategic design process and translates business needs into technical system solutions.

+ Develops and delivers compelling presentations showing the strengths of complex custom solutions.

+ Engages with broader Federal technology working groups to develop joint technology demonstrations, write white papers, and otherwise raise AT&Ts cybersecurity visibility.

+ Determines the availability and viability of third-party components and services as needed.

+ Validates third-party components comply with established architecture.

+ Develops and design specifications for products and technologies.

+ Designs quality control and test procedures to ensure the deliverables meet established design and performance goals.

+ Validates design proposals meet the customers needs. Identifies, analyzes, and evaluates alternative design solutions.

+ Approves integrated systems design proposals for technical content.

+ Creates recommendations and implements new methods, techniques, and/or procedures


**Required Clearance:** Clearable


**Required Qualifications:**


+ 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity/networking, with specific experience in telecommunications

+ Proven ability to act as a consultative seller and apply deep technical knowledge to solving customers mission needs.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external cross-functional organizations and customers.

+ Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently and as proactive team member.

+ Experience across the cybersecurity services landscape.

+ Proven ability to work with wide range of organizations and extended teams.

+ Working knowledge of Federal telecommunications and IT standards, such as FIPS 140-2, FISMA, and FedRAMP, and their application to networking services.


**Desired Qualifications:**


+ Bachelors degree strongly preferred, Masters degree in a relevant area (MBA, MIS, Cybersecurity, Computer Science) preferred.

+ 10+ years technical consulting experience.

+ Cybersecurity certifications (GSEC, CISSP).


**This is a remote work from home position that can be located anywhere in (location), travel to customer site up to 50% of the time may be needed #virtualwork**
