UnitedHealth Groupis seeking talented individuals for ourSenior Pharmacy Technicianopportunities. Under supervision of a pharmacy lead, this position performs designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications, including sterile admixtures and pre - packaged or unit dose drugs. In addition, performs designated tasks related to pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control and preparation of orders for drugs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Completes patient orders by selecting medications as indicated on the patient medication profile; assists in preparing and labeling of intravenous medication orders using proper sterile and aseptic technique

• Compounds specialty drug products
""
• Uses aseptic technique when compounding sterile drug products
""
• Completes accurate documentation of items compounded and re - packaged
""
• Reorders inventory as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies
""
• Receives, checks in and restocks medications
""
• Performs quality control activities related to sterile compounding and the clean room per company policy
""
• Works to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, State, Federal, OSHA and other regulatory standards
""
• Follows all department policy and procedures
""
• Answers phones in a courteous and timely manner
""
• Attends to customers in a timely manner and serves as a bridge between the customer and the pharmacist

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Unrestricted State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and a certificate in good standing
• 1+ years of Pharmacy experience with a knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic technique
• You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
• Employees are required to screen for symptoms using theProtectWellmobileapp, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phonesystem)or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior toentering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expectedto wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience

• Proficient in aseptic technique and intravenous solution compounding
• Home infusion or specialty pharmacy experience
