The Network Infrastructure & Services group is looking for a software developer to support the next generation of Gateway Applications and Cloud Automation (orchestration and inventory) in private or hybrid clouds.


**Key Tasks and Deliverables**


Design, develop, review and unit test code for production systems.


Work with the test group to answer questions and provide turnover documentation for new functions and features.


Ideate, document and present new or improved designs for a variety of new initiatives, services, or implementations.


Provide or contribute to design documents.


Participate or lead project meetings to report on progress, uncover/resolve issues, and ensure that the work product meets the needs of the service.


Above deliverables will be required per release.


**Location**


The position is in Lisle, IL. Fulltime in office is not required but the ability to go into the office as needed and meet with the rest of the development team as required is critical.


**Critical Skills and qualifications**


+ 2 - 5 years of software development experience in C programming.

+ Detailed knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu).

+ Strong knowledge of Network protocols and technologies: IPSec, SSL, DNS, DHCP, Radius, Routing (BGP, OSPF), SNMP at the protocol and implementation level.

+ Requires great interpersonal skills, excellent oral and technical writing skills.

+ A minimum of B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.


**Bonus Skills and qualifications**


+ Software development experience in Perl, Bash, and PHP.

+ Experience with software packaging and installation including Red Hat and Debian package creation.

+ Knowledge of Cloud technologies and platforms, (e.g., KVM, Containers, Azure, AWS)

+ Ability to do detailed system design and plan implementation through multiple iterations from concept to production.

+ Ability to incorporate industry knowledge and customer needs into product roadmaps.
