The SMTS candidate will work in a hands on environment in the Plano, TX WiFi technology lab. When necessary, the SMTS candidate shall execute existing automated tests, promote test case development based on use case reviews, problem reporting, and root cause analysis of WiFi uses related to ATT broadband RGs and WiFi extenders. The candidate shall provide technical feedback on peer written test strategies and test cases.

In this role candidate is responsible for:

+ End to end testing across multiple products for RG and Extender releases.

+ Takes ownership of the test areas, includes detailed test documentation and efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products

+ Independently set day to day work priorities while working to achieve the goals of the team/organization in a dynamic fast-paced work environment. Analyze WiFi Performance data to determine whether it meets expectations.

+ Work with various internal cross-functional organizations to analyze test results to reproduce and identify issues.

+ Capture potential impacts of problems discovered during testing

+ Clearly document and describe issues found from testing and provide adequate supporting data.

+ Work with vendors in a collaborative effort towards product certification

+ Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution

+ Engage others in collaborative problem solving, adopt a sense of urgency in driving towards problem resolutions

+ Provide technical support to internal team, including, but not limited to analyze device log and provide analysis results

+ Ability to develop ad hoc test cases as situations may require

+ Demonstrate Creativity and initiative to improve test coverage and effectiveness

**Required Qualifications:**

Bachelors degree or higher degree such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited university. PhD in an approved field with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

**Key skills include:**

+ Strong communication skills

+ Detail-oriented and process-oriented/aware

+ Understanding of 802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax WiFi 6/6E features

+ Understanding of WiFi Test Methodologies

+ Understanding of basic Agile concepts and methodologies

+ WiFi Test Experience

+ IP networking experience

+ Desired experience: WiFi Tools such as Veriwave, Octoscope PALs, IGEN, Wireshark

+ Network and WiFi Protocol Analysis

+ Candidate shall have the ability to automate new test cases using Python and Robot automation framework and provide maintenance to existing automated testcases.
