**About our role**

In support of products currently in Pfizer's exciting Inflammation and Immunology (I&I), we are looking for a (senior) medical advisor to join our team of medical affairs professionals. The I&I business has one of the broadest pipeline of any pharma company.

The I&I (senior) medical advisor Netherlands is a highly motivated and resilient colleague having key expertise within Rheumatology with skillsets and pioneering attitude and will ensure medical relations through face to face and digital engagements.

The person will be Pfizer's scientific ambassador providing medical and scientific input to allocated medical relation activities.

The role will be reporting into the Benelux Medical team Lead, directly liaise and be aligned with the cross-functional team members.

**Main responsibilities:**

Actively network with customers within Pfizer Netherlands and the global Pfizer teams. Support networking of ongoing face to face and digital relationships with external key influencers to support patient needs.

Set-up a medical plan, in order to support the brands from a medical perspective.

Organization and participation of Advisory Boards.

Medical expert implementing Pfizer's vision, drug performance, medical education and training.

Provide medical and strategic advice to ensure that the objectives of each product range are realized, whilst legal, regulatory and ethical standards are maintained.

Collaborate to provide scientific input for and support to the management of Investigator Sponsored Research grants (ISR's) and Grants. Ensure that adequate records are kept, progress is monitored and the grant study budget agreed and accurately maintained.

Ensure compliance of adverse event reporting in line with Pfizer safety obligations.

Review medical correctness and compliance with local labeling. Sign-off marketing materials for medical correctness in accordance with existing internal and external regulations.

Keep track with the evolution of legislation, medical and scientific knowledge by following up general and expert literature.

Support expanded access programs (e.g. compassionate use programs).

Keep the patient at the center of your focus and your decision-making by bringing value to them, and ensure they have access to the therapies.

**About you**

Education: Advanced degree in medicine or in life sciences or equivalent experience. Medical Doctor, Pharmacist, Master degree in Science/ PhD with proven track record in your field.

Work experience: Preferably at least 3 to 5 year experience in the pharmaceutical industry.


Fluency in written and spoken English and Dutch is a must.

Knowledge expert in inflammation & immunology, particularly, rheumatic diseases highly desirable.

A commitment to working in the best interest of patients and within all relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks.

Project management experience with examples of delivering high quality work.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical Industry, including knowledge of regulations for approval and reimbursement of drugs.

Your background and personality allow you to engage in meaningful peer-to-peer interactions with stakeholders.

Digital capabilities to ensure the best possible experience on current digital platforms

Ability to understand and use a broad range of data beyond conventional sources, such as clinical data coupled with the agility to change quickly between different media.

An excellent interpersonal, strong communicator and resilient team player with great written skills.

Business acumen. Demonstrate initiative, strategic and project management skills.

Ability to navigate internal organization/processes.
