Responsibilities

Successful candidate will lead powering and dynamics research, development, test and evaluation of Navy platforms, systems, subsystems, and components. Tasks will require complex calculations to forecast and determine power, transmission, and propulsion characteristics as well as leading theoretical and experimental investigations of ship and/or submarine powering and dynamics, and their propulsion and power transmission systems. Candidate will also manage projects related to advanced powering and propulsion as well as testing in hydrodynamic test facilities.

Qualifications

  • BS required in Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine (Ocean) Engineering or Naval Architecture.
  • MS in one of those fields preferred.
  • 15 years experience performing engineering programs for the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command in areas described in the position description.
  • Secret Clearance
