Responsibilities

Successful candidate will apply complex calculations, simulations, and/or direct observation to problem solving for mechanical engineering activities including geometry, kinematic and thermodynamic calculations, design, and analysis directly related to hydrodynamics and hydro acoustics of ships and submarines. Candidate will participate in test events and prepare and deliver briefings related to engineering programs for the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command. Briefings may require communicating to audiences of varying technical competency and seniority. Candidate will lead non-senior engineers and conduct technical resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ten years mechanical engineering experience in engineering programs for the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command.
  • Experience performing mechanical engineering activities directly related to hydrodynamics and hydro acoustics of ships and submarines.
  • Fully proficient with office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Secret clearance.
