Cox Communications is looking for a Senior Manager of Vulnerability Management who will lead a team of cybersecurity professionals that provide continuous internal and external vulnerability scanning. This leader will direct the operations of vulnerability identification, prioritization and reporting across both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure and network devices spanning both our enterprise and service provider networks.


This role will directly report to the Director of Cyber Defense Engineering and Vulnerability Management.


*Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:*




* Continuous scanning, prioritization, and reporting of vulnerabilities throughout on-premise and cloud-based environments across both enterprise and service provider networks.

* Direct cross-functional, cross-department teams in remediating security vulnerabilities, ensuring regular communication of status and work products mitigate the intended vulnerabilities.

* Monitoring for security configuration drift and partnering with operations teams to resolve insecure configurations.

* Lead large-scale information security projects, including implementation and delivery of new infrastructure security scanning capabilities.

* Responsible for staying abreast of industry leading vulnerability and software security vendors and informing their product roadmaps.

* Mentor and coach direct reports ensuring success in their role.

* Performance of other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications: *Minimum:*




* 5 years of experience in the field of information security.

* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.

* Ability to influence across functional teams to achieve desired business results.

* Working knowledge/experience of typical operating systems, routers, switches, firewalls, security principles, and applications.

* Detailed knowledge of vulnerability management, configuration management, software security, red team concepts, tools and trends.

* At least one relevant industry certification - CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, PCI ISA/QSA, etc.



*Preferred:*




* BS/BA degree (i.e., Computer Science/Engineering, Business, etc.).

* Masters or other advanced degree in the field of cybersecurity.

* Experience in the telecommunications, financial services, defense or government industries.

* Working knowledge/experience with Python, SQL, and REST APIs.

* Experience implementing security controls within the CI/CD pipeline as it relates to containers and cloud architectures.
