**Position Summary**

This position is responsible for driving development of Pfizer's strategic policy plan and leading implementation of that plan to shape Pfizer's operating environment in a manner that puts the company in the best possible competitive position. The role involves extensive policy analysis and provision of relevant recommendations to advance policy objectives.


+ Identify emerging trends in the political, economic and social environment. Analyze and communicate how these trends could impact the business.

+ Proactively identify policy, regulatory and legislative changes relevant to Pfizer and the pharmaceutical industry. Analyze and communicate the implications of these changes to the business in a timely manner.

+ Develop policy advocacy materials, as directed - e.g., briefing notes, position papers, correspondence and presentations.

+ Implement projects, as required, to support policy advocacy efforts (e.g., commission and launch a white paper).

+ Provide strategic policy support to PBG, including input to category/brand plans and broader commercial operations.

+ Leverage RDPAC, PhRMA and other chambers/associations to support strategic policy advocacy efforts.

+ Building and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. industry associations and business chambers, academic organizations, think tanks and KOLs) to support strategic policy advocacy efforts.

+ Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, including with global/regional policy teams.

+ Partner with Central Access Policy Lead to coordinate seamless, unified Pfizer policy positions.


+ Holds a bachelor's degree (or above) in health, politics, public administration, law, economics or a related field.

+ Has a minimum of 15 years' experience in policy analysis or related roles.

+ Has a solid understanding of the healthcare environment in China and a strong grasp of relevant policy issues - e.g., drug pricing, intellectual property, healthcare reform, healthcare financing, innovation, and regulatory reform.

+ Can think strategically and has strong execution capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects.

+ Can work cross-functionally and cross-culturally to deliver results quickly in an environment of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.

+ Has excellent written and oral communication skills and is fluent in Mandarin and English.
