This is accomplished by providing the highest levels of services and in-stock to the stores, actively contributing to decisions on receipt flow, timing and quantities, and assortment breadth and depth. Advises on the timing and depth of markdowns in order to optimize gross margin return on inventory (GMROI). \u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EThis position will lead a team that will be accountable for the successful execution of planning and forecasting of trade merchandise (imports and domestic). This leader is directly responsible for the consistent execution of common processes and algorithms that are used to effectively manage inventory performance. His / Her team will conduct analysis, stock balancing, ordering, finalize inventory requirements, generate orders, monitor / prioritize merchandise flow, and review in stock performance for multiple billions of dollars of inventory, thousands of SKU\u0027 s, and sales responsibility of more than 5 billion dollars annually.\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003EMAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E25%- Effectively execute all inventory planning activities using metrics to track and improve performance\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E35%- Develop and implement process \u0026 system improvements related to replenishment activities. Provide functional core competence in the specification of enhanced replenishment algorithms and systems.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E25%- Strategy Development/Planning Partner with functional and operating business partners to drive overall business specific strategies.
