Provide the team leadership and management oversight for the daily operations of the Cox Enterprises eDiscovery technology shared services function. This leader will ensure that technology shared services are delivered across all the Cox operating companies and emerging businesses, in support of the Litigation COE, HR departments, Investigations functions. This leader will lead the case management activities for the entire process


Job Responsibilities:


Provide management oversight of the intake processes, assign resources, and ensure continuity of delivery to support investigations




* Partner with Litigation and Investigations personnel to understand every stage of the eDiscovery lifecycle and optimize shared services processes on their behalf.

* Recommend resource assignments and capacity management approaches to ensure that collections are of the highest quality, even when timelines are challenging, and scope is changing.

* Provide creative alternatives to achieve highly efficient processes and deliver collections that are difficult to achieve.

* Own the operational health checks for collection platforms, tools and processes which are key to the delivery of eDiscovery shared service to all divisions of the Cox companies.



Proactively manage value delivery by establishing metrics for customer sentiment, process efficiency, and COE performance.




* Develop metrics and reporting to measure effectiveness, inform chargebacks costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for the unique customers at each division.

* Analyze client requests and operational processing to determine trends and anticipate needs for team capacity, technology configuration change, and process improvements.

* Advise senior leaders after conducting operations review with steering groups teams, boundary partners, and solutions partners.

* Communicate monthly and quarterly metrics key performance indicators on the workload, process efficiency, and continuous improvement plans for the COE operations.

* Maintain mastery level knowledge of electronic information handling, federal and court systems standards for ensuring all work is conducted with excellence.



Develop team, self and customer partners on processes, technology, and legal standards applicable to their role in the process.




* Maintains team morale and capacity to ensure productive outcomes when facing deadlines and demands for high quality work. Makes decisions to hire and release permanent and contract resources.

* Develops team members at all career levels and provides mentoring for team colleagues transitioning into the eDiscovery function and progressing on to our roles in IT, Security, and Investigations.

* Engage every team member to understand their workflow processes, educate on standard practices, and provide practical recommendations to support their work.

* Increase the abilities of all team members involved with customer engagement and the delivery of eDiscovery services to Cox Communications, Cox Automotive, and Cox Enterprises.

* Engage with customer partners to educate and implement processes that ensure eDiscovery technology platforms and shared services meet or exceed their expectations.

Qualifications: Required:




* 5+ years experience in diverse supervisory roles, evaluating cybersecurity threats, delivery of technology initiatives, and operational response.

* 5+ years as a proven, motivator of high performance teams and trusted partner for business teams. Proven track record assessing and developing talent at all skill levels.

* Technology experience that includes a thorough knowledge of data collection, preservation, and processing capabilities, including the any limitations which inform the collection plan.

* Strong command of written and verbal communications, especially executive.

* Strong working knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, multiple collection technology and digital forensics tools.

* Advanced problem solving experience and demeanor to be creative, focused, and effective when managing high demands and time constraints.



Preferred:




* Previous experience in managing eDiscovery capabilities at a large scale with a law firm or corporation.

* Previous leadership of information security programs and functions.

* Industry certifications in one or more disciplines in the field of Information Security, eDiscovery, Legal, or Information Technology.





Travel: As required for team building and collaboration with external business partners.
