We are looking for an experienced product marketing professional to lead the Product Marketing team for Business Critical Services (BCS), a premier Cisco CX services offer. You will work with product management, sales, marketing, and enablement leaders to launch and create interest and ongoing momentum for BCS. Developing compelling and unique product positioning and go to market strategy is one of your top talents. As a charismatic, passionate, and customer-centric communicator, you will innovate content and expertly present information in new ways on the main stage or during a customer sales call. Demand generation is core to your nature, and you strive to assist your colleagues in capturing pipeline and driving the bottom line. We are looking for a marketing rock star who enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate has a blend of strategic mindset, technology expertise, industry experience, and managerial skills. In this role, you will mastermind and lead the execution of every aspect of BCS product marketing in an exciting and dynamic technology space.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Product positioning and messaging - Develop a compelling narrative and value proposition for Cisco Business Critical Services.
  • Manage the team that builds all collateral (website copy and assets, videos, sales presentations, etc.) that reflect the positioning and value proposition of Business Critical Services.
  • Align with the BCS Product Management teams to drive strategy around product positioning for existing products and new launches.
  • You and your team will be the Marketing counterpart to BCS Product Management team, serving as the strategists as well as the driving force behind all GTM activities.
  • Work with the Go-to-Market team to develop plays and programs that help drive pipeline, find new buyers, and cross-sell into existing accounts.
  • Demand generation - Work with marketing and sales teams to hone the strategy and marketing programs that drive demand. Be proactive in recognizing where the business may need marketing support and ways to activate.
  • Work closely with industry experts and Analyst and Press Relations teams to ensure effective thought leadership and ongoing relevancy in the market.
  • Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Communicate with BU Product Marketing teams to identify opportunities to integrate into cross-architecture marketing launches
  • Partner with Product Management to gather customer, market and competitive insights that inform BCS strategy
  • Mentor and grow a team of top product marketing talent.

Position Requirements:

  • High energy, charismatic, innovative, creative individual.
  • Leadership DNA, proven ability to excite and lead a product marketing team.
  • Equivalent of 8+ years of product marketing or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated experience creating product vision/direction via compelling positioning and messaging.
  • Proven experience launching new products and growing to a mature business.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in sales discussions.
  • Strong ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build creative, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives.
  • Very strong presentation skills.
  • Expertise with both Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote.
  • Bachelor's degree

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree preferred
  • Previous experience in IT marketing
  • Business development experience preferred
  • Ability to deliver results in global, matrixed environments comprised of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~25% of the time
