Senior Manager, Customer Delivery - Software Automation & Orchestration

What You'll Do:

Cisco Customer Experience (CX) Center Organization is looking for a Leader to lead and grow a high performing delivery team in the Software Automation & Orchestration space. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with extensive leadership and management experience in the networking and software engineering space to put their abilities to work in an exciting growth environment.

You will work with a team of motivated A-players on Software Orchestration Solutions to:

  • Deliver Network automation and Orchestration applications for specific customers of Cisco
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams at different stages of solution delivery.
  • Evangelize software solutions and CX capabilities to Cisco internal partners in the CX Theaters and Sales to develop compelling delivery models that are suitable to global partners in positioning Cisco CX as the solution provider of choice for customers
  • Strategically identify new capability areas working with multi-functional teams globally, and build delivery models of scale
  • Develop and execute on talent strategies inline with Ciscos business requirements and overall global competitiveness and value proposition of CX business
  • Promote and cultivate team spirit and culture across the global team built on open communication, teamwork, partnership, trust and integrity.
  • Lead employee career development and performance by optimally using leadership skills like mentorship, critical thinking, facilitating change and team development
  • Instill a laser-sharp focus on quality while meeting the customer delivery schedules
  • Drive innovation within the team and develop new capabilities in the areas of portfolio that you are responsible for
  • Drive multi-functional initiatives across broader organization for business impact in areas of efficiency, innovation, talent acquisition, development and retention etc.
  • Support team members with deeper understanding of best practices in networking technologies and software architectures and design patterns that improves the teams capabilities and leadership value of the organization

Who You'll Work With:

Youll be a leader in the global community of CX Software Delivery managers and work closely with CX theater teams, Product Management teams, Sales teams and Customers in formulating offers, delivery plans, strategies and execution plans

Who You Are:

You should have the passion for technology and learning. Around 15+ years of experience in technology industry with at least 8+ years handling and leading teams.

  • You have extensive experience in leading and managing global teams with significant product or service delivery ownership, and have been directly responsible for setting strategy and execution for specific charters of ownership
  • You have experience in handling global customers in SP and Enterprise space, leading customer delivery and escalations
  • You have extensive experience leading a software engineering team and know how to cultivate an open, clear, and innovation culture aligned to product and solution strategies and customers requirements
  • You have led several multi-engineer projects to successful completion embracing agile methodologies of product and solution development, and working with multi-functional teams including Product management and other delivery teams.
  • You have a deep understanding of network service orchestration, service fulfilment, assurance and modern front-end technologies.
  • You have been a software engineer in your career developing complex applications and solutions, and understand deeply the entire software development lifecycle and methodologies, with exposure to modern Agile and Devops centric development and delivery methodologies
  • You are a servant leader with passion for mentorship and active talent development and also have deep experience in top talent acquisition
  • You are highly organized and are excellent at following through with commitments.
  • You are passionate about management topics like how to give feedback compassionately and effectively, how to hire incredible engineers, how to set motivating goals to inspire your team, and how to estimate projects accurately.
  • You care deeply about product quality and user impact.
  • Good communication, presentation and inter-personal skills to recruit and motivate a team of highly skilled engineers.
  • Direct experience with Agile Development and project tracking tools
  • Experience in software development using Java, Python or MEAN Stack
  • Experience with OSS/BSS systems and Microservices and Cloud Native architectures, Dockers and Kubernetes is desirable
