The Senior Medical Affairs Project Manager (Sr. MA-PM) is responsible for medical project planning, progress and budget tracking, and execution summary. Sr. MA-PM should also focus on the project's collaboration and resources synergy in whole Medical Affairs Team based on the overall medical strategic, team vision and mission. Sr. MA-PM would support to set up team culture, objectives and goals for the organization management and long-term development of the Medical Affairs Team. Sr. MA-PM's also support CFM lead to drive projects and resources engagement with a broader range of internal and external stakeholders and meet their different needs in a cost effective and innovative way of communication. To support the exploration of a more flexible engagement model that adapts to a changed communication landscape and captures opportunities utilizing multiple channels.

Meanwhile, Sr. MA-PM is responsible for proactively, safeguarding logistical activities, managing competing deadlines, and assisting with ad-hoc projects which require understanding of the global activity of the team, and to lead, identify, and address the needs of GP to deliver comprehensive administrative support to ensure operational success.

Senior Medical Affairs Project Manager independently complete team strategy development, managing the execution of multi-areas projects in national wide aligning with whole medical strategies and Upjohn China policies. The role may provide project management supports and instruction to whole medical team members and to assure the quality of project implementation. Senior Medical Affairs Project Manager may help line manager to manage junior managers and interns.

For those the duties include:

Propose value added project and optimized customer management strategy

With the strategy of whole medical team, evaluate the core unmet professional needs of target customers in the dynamical evolving healthcare environment, identify the possible pathway of core competencies improvement and propose relevant projects with optimized customer management strategy that cover online and offline modern for a meaningful connection with them.

Collaborate with internal and external partners for customer meaningful connection

Actively seek the chance to collaborate with adequate medical-healthcare association/ platform/university and so on for HCP customer engagement through utilizing innovative technique emerged, make strategy and roadmap of moving forward based on full insight of customers and dynamical evolving technics.

Project execution and management

Include working timeline, key milestone, budget phasing, resource scheduled and the communication plan with both the internal and external stakeholders. Evaluate the impact of MA therapeutic area program on target external customer and Pfizer operational productivities.

Provide instructions and supports to whole medical team members for the excellent execution of Medical projects

Make sure the execution of Medical program taken by team member in compliance with relevant Upjohn policies and the quality assurance.

Project budget control and management

Make sure the cost of project implementation matching to the budget.

External resources management

Keep tracking and well managing the cooperative external partners in long term view.

Provide value added opinions for annual Medical Strategic Plan and project development.

Team management awareness



Therapeutic area knowledge: familiar with the disease knowledge and clinical practice of multiple therapeutic area

Well project management skills, especially at people connection and interesting management.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Good knowledge on company/industry policies/disciplines

Strong business acumen

Strategic and logical thinking

Strong Leadership capabilities, such as decision marking, problem solving, plan and implementation.

Good English reading/writing

Medical license is a plus


Master degree or above in medicine or pharmacy area

Clinical pharmacist background is preferred

Master of Business Administration is a plus


At least 5 years working experience in industry with master's degree

3 years or more working experience of project management is preferred
