Senior Global Care Consultants are responsible for first-level response and resolution of escalated issues with external and internal customers.

""

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any 8-hour shift within the 24/7 hours of operation including rotating weekends. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.. Our office is located at 601 Brooker Creek Blvd. Oldsmar, FL.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Global Care Consultants (GCC) manage all inbound communication, contacts and cases for the Emergency Response Center (ERC).
  • ""
  • The non-clinical team supports members with provider referrals, coverage information, appointment setting, billing and logistics support, case ownership and management. GCCs assist with standard Visa letter requests, benefits verification, and other referrals.
  • ""
  • GCCs support financial transactions which include arranging billing by guarantee of payments, credit card, bank wires, or with a local assistance company.
  • ""
  • GCCs provide logistical support by coordinate commercial flights, Medical Escorts, Air & ground Ambulances, or Sedan arrangements based on travel orders and medical needs.
  • ""
  • The Global Care Consultants partners with nurses and intelligence teams on the case management process when a member requires routine & emergency medical care. Together they work out the care and transportation logistics.
  • ""
  • GCCs coordinate the return of remains if an eligible member should pass away while traveling abroad
  • ""
  • GCCs provide routine updates to clients, members, family, providers, vendors and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • ""
  • The Sr. Global Care Consultant serves as the non-clinical shift lead and as an extension of the ERC leadership team, enhancing the around the clock support, while reporting directly to the clinical leader. Sr. Global Care Consultants are responsible for coordinating high quality care across the continuum, from shift to shift, improving the overall member experience, quality and continuity of cases.

  • Runs and analyze reports, ensure metrics are met and identifies real time gaps to support project work.

  • High school diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience

  • Associate's degree (or higher)

  • Travel Experience: interest in global environment, world/geography understanding, empathize with challenges while travelling.

  • Bilingual in any language, even if not fully fluent
  • ""
  • Experience working within an insurance or healthcare role and related regulations (privacy, HIPAA, compliance)
  • ""
  • Experience working with global vendors
  • ""
  • Volunteering experience and community focus

  • Experience in evaluating critical situations and applying business and service criteria to make appropriate treatment and logistic decisions

  • Experience with complex task management and ability to learn complex system and processes

  • Experience in communicating complex information, both verbally and in writing, to present a simple and clear format to all stakeholders

  • Experience with Cultural Competence and awareness on global scale and experience in overcoming cultural and language barriers to provide assistance

  • Experience in delivering white-glove, high-touch quality customer service as well as taking ownership of inquiries and liaises between departments to provide seamless service

  • Experience with handling complaints by investigating member or provider concerns and coordinating responses with other functional areas, departments, and vendors as appropriate
