The Senior Financial Consultant supports business operations that align to CDO support services. This role will provide financial analysis and support in calculating pricing for services based on department costs. Must be comfortable with reviewing budget expenses and apply standard financial principles and calculation methodology to calculate PMPM, ratios, and allocations. This individual will also create detailed documentation and standard operating procedures for calculation methodologies throughout these areas. This person will also provide leadership and support to the Pricing and Valuation of WellMed Shared Services function. They must be able to present calculation methodology, validation practices, and principles to senior executive leadership. This person will also create audit processes and reporting for continued refinement and updates to pricing models. This individual must be able to clearly articulate business issues with recommended solutions in the context of a fast-paced and high-growth $3 billion company. They will also facilitate Joint Operating Committees with CDOs to who we are providing services.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Lead service reconciliation process between WellMed and OptumCare CDOs. Address differences and determine Operations and Financial impact.
  • ""
  • Lead Service and Membership reconciliation process between WellMed internal data sources, Clinical Performance and CDO information.
  • ""
  • Lead Service Agreement process ensuring services provided by WellMed are agreed to by all parties.
  • ""
  • Support annual pricing model activities for WellMed Shared Services to OptumCare CDOs. Identify cost savings and opportunities for various functional areas within WellMed.
  • ""
  • Responsible for the comprehensive development and ownership of detailed strategic financial models and assumptions.
  • ""
  • Effectively collaborate and negotiate with cross-functional teams that include sales, finance, operations, and senior management to develop forecasts, goals, variance reporting, and other necessary tools.
  • ""
  • Works with department managers and corporate staff to develop multi-year strategic business plans for the company.
  • ""
  • Collaborates with department leadership to establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
  • ""
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • ""
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience with Finance responsibilities within a major company or division of a large corporation.
  • ""
  • Experience with BI analytic tools for reporting (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc).
  • ""
  • Solid Financial Modeling and Budgeting/Forecasting skills and experience.
  • ""
  • Ability to analyze financial data and patterns, and prepare financial statements.
  • ""
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic working environment with many near term and long-term deliverables.
  • ""
  • Solid ability to work collaboratively and influence across several departments for successful management initiatives.
  • ""
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to perform mathematical computations, and compute ratios/percentages accurately and quickly required.
  • ""
  • Great communication and management skills.
  • ""
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under time sensitive deadlines.

  • Exhibits great attention to detail and proven ability to organize data effectively.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
