This position requires a highly driven process improvement leader who can continue to implement and energize Manheim and lead and drive operational change to enable our successful transition to the digital future. Processes developed by this group will be the primary backbone of Manheims Continuous Improvement Initiative going forward. This leader will also be is responsible for setting the strategy and transforming the tools and processes used to communicate the scheduling process and tools for Manheims worker population of over 15,000 people today. This leader will lead and set the strategic direction for workforce management, lead a broad stakeholder group through a technology and process redesign, stand up a workforce management, planning, analytics and LDM team of 5-10 people to support better decision making, and partner with leaders in CAI and Manheim HR, operations, and IT to leverage the benefits from the transformation. This leader will also be responsible for the development, configuration, and support for the Kronos Dimensions application. The Senior Director must be fully aligned and coordinated with senior operations management, field support resources, Product, Design, IT, Finance, and HR. Additional responsibilities include:




* Set the strategy for Manheims lean daily management, workforce management, labor model, and workforce technology

* Establish and manages a centralized workforce management and LDM team of 5-10

* Partner with senior leaders in CAI, HR, and IT to set the overall workforce and lean strategy

* Lead the workforce transformation through indirect influence of the broader Manheim leadership team

* Lead design, configuration, and support of the Kronos applications with a primary focus on applications within HR and Time and Attendance domain.

* Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal and Compliance and other upstream and downstream system-owners such as Labor Planning, Scheduling and Payroll, to gather and define Kronos requirements.

* Engage with Data Engineers and Product Managers to design Kronos application extensions (custom solutions) and provide end user support for multiple modules in multiple geographies.

* Provide expertise with Kronos Timekeeping Application.

* Serve as a listening post and aggregator of auction-specific labor needs including (temporary labor, manager tools, operational scheduling) and collaborate with other organizational leaders in finance, supply chain, IT, and HR to address business needs.

* Perform and manage complex analysis to determine process improvement opportunities, evaluate alternatives and prioritize redesign efforts.

* Develop recommendation and define business case support for investments in new technology solutions as well as changes to the operating model associated with when people work, who does the work, how people work, and where they sit

* Ensure auctions, their leaders, and front-line managers are in position to benefit from new technology, reporting, and processes for managing their hourly workforce

* Develop and share workforce analytics to auction operations to support better decision making at the manager level and for the broader auction population

* Partner with 3rd party vendors including technology vendors and implementation consultants to purchase, combine, configure, and deploy a combined workforce management technology solution

* Manage highly complex, multi-year, strategic process to role Lean out to operating locations with efforts spanning multiple Manheim functional departments.

* Provide Senior Leadership that fully aligns with operational senior leadership, operational support teams and other departments to meet strategic objectives.

* Set high standards of performance for self and others; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.

* Partner with change management leadership to ensure successful implementation


Qualifications:

* Minimum Bachelors degree or relevant business experience

* Masters in Business Administration preferred

* 10+ years industrial process management/engineering/optimization experience, with of broad HR or relevant business experience and expertise in the areas of workforce management technology, analytics, and management consulting

* 5+ Years leading process improvement implementation teams

* A minimum of 5 years experience working with Time and Attendance or Payroll systems with at least two years of new implementation experience.

* Strong Kronos Workforce Central product knowledge and configuration expertise with focus on Pay Policy, Accrual Policy and Attendance Policy modules respectively

* Lean and / or Six Sigma Black Belt with experience leading organizations through Lean transformations

* Experience driving cross functional initiatives across large organization

* Ability to utilize relevant data, statistics, and expert advisors to ensure relevance and effectiveness of HR solutions

* Experience in the development of workforce strategy, planning processes, and tools that builds an adaptive, agile workforce, and improves non-exempt employee experience.

* Manheim Field Experience in Operations (preferred)

* Effective communication both written and verbal across all levels of organization

* Project leadership Experience of large, complex, multi-discipline projects

* Experience at operational project deployment

* Experience with business support software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required

* Demonstrated experience in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating complex team efforts

* Possess a solid understanding of the wholesale automotive industry, i.e., industry structures, key players, competitive dynamics, technological underpinnings

* Possess ability to develop and present high-level presentations to Corporate and Auction Management on Inspection Related Projects and Goals

* Possess ability to manage groups of high-level managers across a nationwide geographic basis

* Strategic thinking and change management

* Sets direction by exercising influence in the development of organizational objectives and short to mid-term long goals
