*Role Summary*


Provides continuous and visible leadership for all development and deployment activities required to ensure product interoperability of customer segment focused solutions while driving operational integration that delivers a superior customer experience across sales, fulfillment, and support. Assesses existing portfolio offerings and product roadmaps across the Cox Business portfolio against customer segment needs to devise and maintain a multi-year roadmap that delivers continuous, incremental improvement.


Responsible for ongoing process development and integrity in support of multi-product, segment focused service delivery and assurance as underlying operational tools mature; Accountable for and serves as the authority on all aspects of the product lifecycle including: design/architecture, operational processes, boundary partner alignment and education, launch, customer experience, financial and operating metrics, enhancement priorities and product roadmaps; Recognized as corporate leader and authority over Cox Business product interoperability; Devises, maintains, and owns Cox Business product interoperability strategy, partnering with Product, Marketing, and Operations to identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive revenue growth, realize operational savings through CPE rationalization, and remove operational barriers to best-in-class customer experience; Develops culture and processes to drive product interoperability as a prime focus across Cox Business Product on a go forward basis; Leads cross-functional teams by example demonstrating passion and drive to satisfy customer needs and optimize customer experience through product innovation and/or improvements to internal organization, processes and technology; Oversees the synthesis of information to determine both current and future (years in advance) customer needs; Accountable to plan and allocate resources to successfully address/balance customer needs; Operates with autonomy to translate high level goals into tactics; Able to achieve group results without direction from superiors; Negotiates critical issues with executive leadership on ideas and solutions that impact industry and/or corporate results; Directs the development of innovative solutions to highly complex and/or emerging technologies; Champions, provides influence and leadership to department leaders and executives on ideas and solutions that impact industry and/or corporate results; Typically supervises managers and exempt professional or technical staff; may operate as an individual contributor with considerable influence company-wide.




*Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions*




* Accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of product development and launch projects and achievement of aggregate business objectives through planning, budgeting, resourcing, and monitoring accuracy of work, etc. Ensures success through adequate resourcing of initiatives.

* Oversees the allocation and consumption of resources for product development and lifecycle activities across portfolio. Directs the adjustments to budgets and forecasts as necessary for success.

* Serves as champion for product portfolio to obtain necessary executive sponsorship. Directly and indirectly influences others to garner needed resources and support.

* Provides leadership, development, mentorship at executive level to product teams. Typically manages a team of Directors and Senior Managers.

* Accountable to ensure product roadmaps and plans satisfy consumers expectations and unmet needs. Directs product portfolio from ideation through deployment.

* Reviews data, insights and interpretation of metrics. Reviews development of optimal recommendations.

* Formulates and executes upon documented portfolio vision to ensure alignment with customer needs, market and competitive trends and corporate strategy.

* Directs team to translate strategy into clear and defined business requirements.

* Provides oversight in the development of business cases that define the product value proposition to support product and services roadmap investments.

* Direct the prioritization of product improvements and necessary resources across the product portfolio to optimize customer experience and strengthen financials.

* Communicates with Executives and stakeholders to maintain alignment and awareness of current product state and vision.

* Oversees and reviews the optimization of operational practices and procedures to drive efficiencies

* Monitors developments within the industry, vendor community and technology trends and considers these in light of product roadmaps.

* Is a recognized leader and authority in the organization in a broad product portfolio and leader of product team.


Qualifications:

* 10 or more years of experience required in related field (e.g. Technology, Marketing, Process Improvement, etc.)

* 5+ or more years of experience in a management role

* Proven ability to lead and inspire teams. Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills. Strong ability to directly or indirectly influence and mentor others at executive levels.

* Demonstrate strong technical and market knowledge.

* Working knowledge of OSI model and WAN/LAN administration and networking (inclusive of VLANs, TCP/IP, CIDR, network firewalls, switching protocols, routing protocols, DNS, VPNs, NAT/NAPT, PON/Fiber, DOCSIS, WiFi, QoS/DSCP, CoS, PoE)

* Understanding of industry trends and technology advancements as they relate to network administration, routing, and security, inclusive of operational models to manage quote to cash process






*Preferred*




* BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g. Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)

* Advanced degree preferred (Masters degree, etc.).

* Experience in telecommunications or high-tech environment

* Full understanding of quote to cash product lifecycle and customer experience considerations across sales, fulfillment, and support

* Experience managing all phases of product development lifecycle from ideation through product launch and lifecycle support
