Job Description

A successful candidate will provide intuitive and highly strategic sales discovery & analytical skills as well as client management skills to determine client goals, create customized solution, and successfully communicate to clients the advantages of continuing and/or expanding a partnership with Avendra in the lodging and restaurant segments within a defined territory. This includes independent hotels, small group hotel owners and management companies and independent restaurants. The candidate will also own the client relationship for ongoing service/support as a trusted advisor in purchasing and related operational processes and best practices. The candidate should have advanced sales closing skills.
This role also includes leading a team of Procurement Specialists in major metro markets that pursue and close new business and manage and grow a defined set of existing customers.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:
A seasoned, self-starting sales professional with a proven track record selling at the C-level and/or GM level of hotels, restaurants or similar hospitality businesses
Ability to gain engagement from key stakeholders within hotels and restaurants from making client contact through industry contacts, strategy, proposal presentation, analysis, and successful closing techniques
Develop customized and compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Ensure self and teams compliance with the internal approval process (i.e.: contract requirements for client participation in Avendras supplier programs)
Client-Focused Sales Acumen
Research and analyze client goals and objectives
Develop insights that provide opportunities to teach the client new approaches to reach their goals and objectives
Deliver client-focused presentations that address client objectives and generate two-way dialogue that builds results-focused relationships with prospective customers
Demonstrate how Avendras capabilities with the combined company resources of Aramark help clients meet identified needs and enable success
Strategist and Team Leader
Develop and lead strategy process regarding a competitive environment; market trends, and account strategies to win new business for hotels and restaurants performing self-procurement or using Avendras competition.
Manage the Procurement Specialist team to build specific sales strategies for maximum sales conversion, high client retention efforts within each team members territory: revenue goals, competitive position, client relations and actions to ensure retention of client accounts
Serve as the team leader in networking at high profile industry events and trade shows.

Territory Manager
Pro-actively manage territory by developing territory plans and identifying a pipeline of target accounts and sales opportunities to meet current and future retention objectives
Engage with prospect throughout sales and implementation process and drive optimal program participation


Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 10 years strategic selling and sales leadership experience required
Diverse experience in lodging, restaurants, F&B expertise and/or a combination thereof.
Strong proficiency with all MS Office applications and company provided eRM and client reporting systems
Must possess a consultative, customer centric selling philosophy and work in a positive manner with clients, associates and supplier partners to solve problem and prioritize new opportunities
Demonstrated experience in the ability to build alliances and influence key decision makers both internally and externally without formal authority.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Efficient organizational skills (time/territory management) a must.
Travel up to 50% required

This is a remote work-from-home role with travel to customer locations. Employees should reside within the territory.
Territories include: South Florida, New York City, Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL, and Houston, TX
