*Cox Automotive* is currently looking for a *Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager* to join our team in *Atlanta, GA*.


*The Role:*


The Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager is responsible for developing and leading Cox Automotives strategic competitive intelligence and being a trusted advisor to the Solutions GMs and aligned business leaders (including Product, Marketing and Sales). This challenging position will play a key role in developing strategic insights focused on maintaining the companies leadership positions, as well as supporting business planning, product development, sales, marketing and competitive response strategies. The Senior Manager will demonstrate thought leadership and subject matter expertise on Cox Automotives competitive set, proactively identifying market risks and opportunities. The incumbent provides expert counsel and advice in competitive strategy leveraging several sources of data in large scale projects. Additionally, the Senior Manager, in partnership with Research Client Service Team leads, is expected to lead these large scale, cross-functional projects to improve Cox Automotives business results.


*Responsibilities:*




* Produce ongoing executive-facing deliverables with insights, implications, and recommendations that impact long-term competitive strategy, including executive briefs, deep proles and competitive alerts.

* Identify and analyze emerging threats, disruptive changes and potential opportunities within a fast-changing industry.

* Monitor the automotive industry developments and news; data sources include but are not limited to: Nielsen market share data, pricing data, annual & quarterly reports, investment banker analysis, articles, industry research and other secondary and primary resources.

* Lead large-scale, cross-functional, business critical strategy projects, working closely with senior leaders of Cox Automotives Business Units.

* Proactively generate insights into actions of key competitors and provide structured proactive thinking on potential business responses for Cox Automotive.

* Lead business units and department executives through live competitive sessions.

* Manage large-scale competitive intelligence programs and projects with focus on exceeding expectations and requirements.

* Lead all cross-BU deliverables: quarterly competitive updates, NADA recognizance, quarterly earnings calls.

* Establish and maintain a closely aligned working partnership with internal partners across the organization, leveraging diverse and fragmented data sources to drive insights.

* Support Cox Automotive with deep understanding of competitive and marketplace trends, including:


* Product Management/IT: understand competitors product features, business models, resources and capabilities; highlighting emerging market expectations and helping shape product roadmaps.

* Marketing: Understand competitors go-to-market strategies, brand positioning, product packaging and pricing strategy.

* Sales: Understand competitors sales tactics and value proposition; develop competitive response strategy.




* Establish a strong network, including key industry groups, clients and experts (internal and external).

* Keep abreast of developments and best practices in the Competitive Intelligence field and maintain the knowledge necessary to retain professional competence.

* Proactively take on additional responsibilities, as needed, to continuously improve Cox Automotives performance; support ad hoc requests and assume other responsibilities as they arise.




Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in related field and 7+ years of professional experience, predominantly in a business consulting, competitive intelligence, corporate strategy, finance, sales or marketing; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

* MBA preferred.
