The Enterprise Change and Communication team at Edward Jones is focused on supporting the successful leadership and adoption of our firm's multi-year transformation. The Enterprise Communication Team is responsible for communicating to our more than 48,000 associates, leveraging strategic communication plans, thought leadership opportunities, and a diverse set of communication channels.

Our Enterprise Communication team is seeking a Senior Client Strategist who will be responsible for helping to develop an overarching firm message strategy for internal audiences in support of our firm's transformation. This includes helping to identify the most relevant message priorities and connecting those priorities to a broader narrative. In this role, you will be responsible for working in close partnership with other communication associates and leaders to help align their work with the firm's message strategy.

You will also support some executive communication, internal thought leadership opportunities, and message strategy for firm meetings, events and conferences. In this role, you will need to build relationships with senior firm leaders, proactively identify communication opportunities, provide strategic thought leadership and partner with others to execute on the communication needs of our more than 48,000 branch team members and home office associates.


*Responsibilities:*
The Senior Client Strategist is focused on strategy formulation, leadership of larger firm communication initiatives and has a greater responsibility to help align communication strategy and activities across the firm.
* Develop and implement highly complex communication strategies to influence target audience behavior.
* Provide strategic direction to communication associates and business stakeholders to ensure alignment to firm message strategy and priorities.
* Provide thought leadership and recommendations to senior leaders on communication strategy and programs in order to meet relevant business goals.
* Effectively build relationships with senior firm leadership to provide counsel and develop, align, execute and measure work, often with competing priorities.
* Proactively identify opportunities and then craft business cases in order to prioritize and activate efforts that will improve the communication we deliver.
* Evaluate, define and prioritize innovation and continuous process improvements that will help the firm deliver an optimal communication experience for our associates.


* Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing or related field required. MBA or Masters preferred. Financial service experience preferred.
* 10+ years' experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in strategic communication, marketing or financial services marketing.
* Demonstrated success developing and delivering strategic communication outcomes at the enterprise level in a large, complex organization.
* Proven ability to work in partnership with and serve as a senior consultant to c-suite level firm leaders.
* Change management experience and the ability to collaboratively lead organizational change preferred.
* Extensive knowledge of communication and marketing principles, tools and messaging.
* Skilled in creating communication strategies and interactive experiences to engage and equip leaders and change agents
* Demonstrated ability to seek out/integrate stakeholder data, insights and feedback to shape overall messaging and tailor communication strategies for the unique needs of different audiences
* Experience developing and managing measures that track the efficacy, efficiency and impact of the communication strategy and shape continuous improvement priorities
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment and adept at collaborating with a cross-functional team of enabling functions (representing a breadth of change levers) to optimize our stakeholders' experience and business results
* Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, negotiation, organization and project management skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships to influence and gain consensus across all levels of the organization.
* Must be flexible and willing to explore different paths to achieve an outcome and adjust quickly to new circumstances.
