GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


This position is remote/work from home and can be located anywhere within the United States. The Senior Business Development Director will lead the Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions offerings for Inventory Management Solutions, driving profitable growth, tracking the agreed-upon KPIs, & increasing market share at the local/regional level through accurate analysis of the market and by building robust relationships internally (across divisions) and externally. The Senior Business Development Director is responsible for representing the solution mindset to our customers and has responsibility for a projected $100M dealer business, with expectations to ultimately develop it into a $550M business. This role will also gather insights across all functions of the business, collaborate and synthesize trends for the assigned category, and make recommendations that position the company for long-term success.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:




* Leads, directs, and develops product and service delivery teams, fostering a high-performance culture and creating opportunities to build the customer base and drive product revenue. Works with functional partners (Product & Tech, Marketing, Sales, Finance, People Solutions) to execute priorities, objectives, and strategies that support the solution strategy

* Work closely with the product team to prioritize feature development representing the business and the industry perspective during the product lifecycle

* Work closely with the Consumer Solutions Set group to develop consumer lead generation strategies to attract additional consumers to the offering

* Act as an Automotive industry expert and utilize insight from market research to determine current business needs and opportunities for future business growth. Leverage existing relationships and establish new ones to achieve revenue growth

* Credibly represent the business through public speaking events, participating in strategic sales calls to deepen relationships with new & existing clients. Write articles, create podcasts that emphasize the benefits of Instant Cash Offer capabilities

* Lead the day-to-day operations for the category to inform and advance strategy and execution with an emphasis on productivity and efficiency

* Position and communicate the vision and services of the organization to customers, business partners, and employees

* Develop, collaborative relationships and foster an environment of open, honest, and direct communication that reflects Cox Automotive leadership values

* Reviews and analyzes all areas that impact the profitability and growth of the Instant Cash Offer business and synthesizes information from various sources to come up with a recommendation that is data-driven and focused on growth and meet customer requirement

* Protect the 103-year old Kelley Blue Book brand

* Compensation includes a base salary of $136,300 - 190,700. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.

* Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

*Compensation:*

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:




* Minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibilities in an Automotive environment

* Previous experience running operations; preferably SAAS software related

* Previous experience with full P&L responsibility highly preferred

* Consumer marketing experience preferred

* Extensive experience developing and delivering annual operating budgets

* Experience working, presenting, and communicating with key stakeholders



Knowledge: Strong experience in the strategic planning process, market research, and analysis techniques and tools.

* Ability to work cross-functionally & interact with leadership at all levels of the organization

* Ability to interpret complex data and distill it into a concise, relevant presentation for an executive audience

* Passion for storytelling, developing fresh ideas and translating market insights into compelling pitches.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth-company environment

* Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

* Travel as needed (30-50%)



EDUCATION REQUIRED:


Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred
