!*!The Products Financial Systems Requirements Team in Product Development area is responsible for writing business requirements and implementing business rules in Product Financial Management Cycle (PFMC), a data repository for individual life insurance product records.  In this position, the associate will work closely with Operations, Business, and Systems key personnel to support our insurance product portfolio updates & reinsurance changes within the Product Development Process (PDP).  In addition, he/she may assist with potential product-related business/systems enhancements and/or reinsurance initiatives.   


The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Assess insurance product portfolio changes and prepare Business Requirements Document with comprehensive and clear business/systems specifications, including process flows, business rules, and data examples for all impacted downstream systems processes

  • Walk through business requirements with major stakeholders to achieve buy-in/sign-off from all affected areas

  • Update business table rules in PFMC that match precisely with business requirements to ensure data accuracy and complete coverage

  • Provide business level support and monitoring at project status meetings

  • Work closely with business/user acceptance/systems partners to troubleshoot data issues

  • Run queries against PFMC repository to provide insurance policy-level data elements to our business associates

  • Assist manager on new reinsurance initiatives/special projects

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent partnership collaboration skills

  • Working Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook

  • SQL query/data mining experience a plus

  • Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision in a team environment

  • 1-3 years business/systems data analysis experience in a financial or insurance industry a plus

  • Knowledge of Prudential insurance product portfolio preferred
