**Your Role**



The eCommerce Architect Software Engineer partners with both the business and technical teams to innovate and deliver new features and enhancements for the eCommerce platform. This position focuses on the design, development, and support of on-line, customer facing, eCommerce business solutions.



**What Youll Do**



The eCommerce Architect will serve as the lead architect for the architectural design, development, integration, and deployment of eCommerce technologies for Stapless eCommerce Platform. This position is responsible for the guidance on technical designs, performance and implementation of e-commerce projects. He/she will own pre-project architecture assessment and passionately drive forward a road map for architecture improvements and evaluate usage of new technologies to improve performance, scalability, security of Stapless eCommerce platform. This role will support and mentor multiple Agile Scrum teams through mentorship on creation and approval of technical solutions for new feature capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.



+ Design, develop and support eCommerce projects throughout all phases of the software development life cycle

+ Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes

+ Solve project risks and tactical problems involving complex technical issues across multiple disciplines and work effectively to mitigate them

+ Lead eCommerce product initiatives, recommend improvements, mentor and guide junior team member Investigates new design and/or analytical methodologies, techniques, and tools and makes recommendations as appropriate

+ Create and evolve application documentation as required

+ Ensure optimal application performance within area of technical and application expertise

+ Assess and recommend solutions to maintain overall application health

+ Work with engineering management to develop departmental business models, technical strategies, implementation strategies and architectures

+ Maintain a profound understanding of engineering and business domain strategies

+ Develop industry and product technical expertise



**Qualifications**

**The Skills You Bring**



+ Bachelors Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience

+ 8+ years of full software development lifecycle experience including the ability to perform independent analysis

+ 6+ years of experience developing applications in web technologies (Java/J2EE, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSON, Angular 2+, Tomcat)

+ 6+ years of experience in SQL and developing applications with relational and non relational database technologies

+ Solid understanding of microservices based architecture.

+ Excellent analytical abilities and a strong intellectual curiosity

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Excellent time management and organization skills

+ Ability to balance multiple priorities at a given time

+ Must be team oriented and have a customer service mindset

+ Self-driven, able to work independently or within a team setting

+ Results oriented and adaptable

+ Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN

+ Experience with any of the following: Agile/Scrum, open source technologies, responsive application design, continuous integration using Jenkins

+ Experience with Service Oriented Architecture

+ Experience with cloud architecture and technologies

+ Exposure to working in a retail, manufacturing, or print solutions
