The Security Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for the initialization, tracking, and management of all security projects for a large Security Engineering and Security Operations Center Team. This includes identifying and assigning out tasks, tracking all progress of tasks, creating reports as required, coordinating and facilitating meetings with engineers and customers, and focusing on continuous improvement of the environment.


A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate area or at least 8 years IT experience which must include a minimum of 4 years focused on information security.

Candidate must be able to pass a background check.

Knowledge of the SELC, engineering concepts, and implementations required to secure information systems, networks and data.

Identify and define system requirements and oversee the design of architectures to meet requirements.

Understand technical exchanges in configurations and troubleshooting of systems to prepare executive summaries as needed.

Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.

Experience working in environment with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, malware defense, threat detection, log management, content filtering, etc.

Experience working in or supporting SOC operations, Incident Response or ISSOs.

Experience with developing Security Metrics and SLAs.

Experience with performing root cause analysis and remediation.

Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a team environment.

Ability to maintain electronic repository of documentation that is up to date and refreshed annually

Ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities based on inspection results

Generate reports and relevant program management metrics

Work closely with Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to provide guidance and oversight for all requested initiatives.

Liaison with security vendors.

Skills Preferred but not required:

Deep understanding of the following tools: Splunk, McAfee Security Solutions, Microsoft Cloud Offering, or Tanium.

Scanning and evaluation tools: Nessus, Retina, Wireshark, NMAP, etc.

Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and exploit development / Proof-of-Concept
