Who You Are

As a Security Engagement Manager, is leading strategic security programs and initiatives across the Enterprise driving a culture shift from reactive to dedicated security practices while holding the Business accountable in aligning to our Visibility and Control strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for establishing program strategy, gaining executive support through effective change makers and provide program leadership throughout the enterprise business community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Use your experience to influence key partners, navigate organizational challenges and align business priorities
  • Lead security programs from early days to enterprise roll-out. Requires skills including: breakthrough management, schedule management, resource management, change makers etc.
  • Work with Security Strategy owners to develop and evolve their vision, strategy and executions
  • Ensure program breakthroughs, initiatives and work is clear, concise and consumable by Information Security and Business leadership
  • Working with engineering teams to adopt Cisco Secure Development Cycle (CSDL).
  • Executive Communications - keeping executive leadership in partner organizations and Information Security up to date on any impacts to the community or major changes to security
  • Using tools to measure information security program effectiveness, provide reports on these metrics and continually find ways to improve security adoption through new initiatives
  • Ensure tactical security elements are effectively translated into valuable business objectives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of various classes of security weaknesses/vulnerabilities and corresponding mitigations.
  • Shown foundation of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL). A working knowledge of how to prioritize different SDL requirements.
  • Strong social and technical communication skills, abilities to influence others at multiple levels of the company and with significant experience working with multiple programs and partners at once.
  • Shown grasp of Cisco security products and solutions, including embedded, virtualized and cloud product offerings.
  • You are experienced in projects using engineering standards and workflows.
  • You possess a BSCS/EE or equivalent and 5+ years of technical program management experience with 4+ years in a security-focused role.
  • Understand and participate in high level design discussions for the purpose of ensuring a common understanding of expectations and deliverable towards product security and governance.
  • You also demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as the role demands interaction with other business units or services with different imperatives.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of professionals and distributed teams
