What You'll Do

Cisco Systems is seeking a well-qualified candidate to perform as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) at its Research Triangle Park, NC campus. As the FSO, the individual is the security focal point for addressing all industrial and personnel security related matters with emphasis on problem-solving and customer interaction. As a Key Management Person (KMP) under the NISPOM, the candidate is responsible for the development, implementation, updating, and monitoring of corporate security policies and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements. The FSO ensures Cisco Systems is in full compliance with corporate security policies, US Government security requirements, policies, and directives. Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a TS/SCI Clearance and Polygraph, Full-scope a plus.

Who You Are

The duties of the FSO shall include, but are not limited to;

Implementing and maintaining a highly effective security program built on Government and Corporate guidance.

Maintaining a high degree of organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be able to work independently and partner with other functional organizations.

Interface directly with DCSA in the management of the organizations Facility Clearance.

Responsible for security vulnerability assessments and self-inspections.

Provide briefings, facilitate various security trainings and issue written guidance to all Cisco Systems employees, its consultants, and subcontractors.

Strong knowledge of Federal Investigative Standards, the clearance adjudication process, and Adjudicative Guidelines.

Prepare and maintain official records auditable by US Government representatives.

Manage the safeguarding of classified information in accordance with applicable government security requirements.

Process personnel for security clearance investigations.

Brief all employees on their responsibilities for protecting, handling, transmitting, storing, and destroying National Security Information.

Process Visit Requests to other facilities and U.S. Government organizations

Maintain various SOPs required by DoD and IC customers.

Investigate adverse information reported and make recommendations to Corporate management on disciplinary actions based on the investigation results.

Obtain and maintain accreditation of Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information, and Special Access Program Facilities. Must have experience with the technical specifications of Closed areas, SCIFs and SAPFs (ie, NISPOM, ICDs)

Demonstrated knowledge of JPAS, Scattered Castles, NISS, eQIP and other security databases.

Establish and maintain physical security procedures of national security information stored within the facility.

Develop and maintain Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) and TEMPEST Addendum to the FFC.

Understanding and familiarity of DD-254 Implementation Requirements.

Education/Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related area or equivalent experience (5+ years)
