**ROLE SUMMARY**

Immunosafety Sciences is a global resource within Drug Safety Research and Development (DSRD) focused on supporting drug development across all therapeutic areas. Activities include assay development and sample testing for non-clinical and clinical studies in the areas of immunomodulation, immuno-oncology and hypersensitivity. Immunosafety Sciences is also involved in the risk assessment process, regulatory filings, and investigative studies understand immune-related safety issues during all stages of drug discovery.



We're excited to present a Scientist, Immunosafety Sciences open position. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated scientist with a solid background in immunology, cellular and plate-based immunological assays, and molecular biology. The candidate will work in a team environment and will primarily focus on the conduct of immunological assays in support of drug development and strategic initiatives, in both nonclinical and clinical arenas. Additionally, the candidate will explore new technologies and contribute data for publishing in peer-reviewed journals. This person will effectively work on several projects at a time and interact with staff from other departments.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Conduct experiments involving molecular biology techniques, e.g., PCR, RNA seq.

+ Responsible for the conduct of immunoassays; ELISA, electrochemiluminescent assays, or other assay platforms, and cell-based assays (e.g., proliferation, cytotoxicity, receptor binding, phagocytosis, ADCC [Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity]).

+ Apply strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills to experimental evaluations

+ Responsible for interpreting data, working independently and collaborating across lines.

+ Will summarize experimental data and reports in team meetings, as needed.

+ Responsible for maintaining laboratory notebooks, preparing project plans, generating reports, and presenting project plans and data to teams.



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ BA or BS with 5+ or MA/MS with 4+ years' experience in molecular immunology and a degree in immunology, molecular biology, or related biological science.



**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Education and practical training in the area of immunology and/or molecular biology are highly desirable.

+ Experience in single cell RNA sequencing and TCR sequencing, as well as in developing immune and cell-based in vitro assays

+ Capabilities in ELISpot, flow cytometry, and cell culture are highly desired
