Job Description

The PBNA Supply Chain is responsible for producing & distributing nearly 2 Billion cases of product through a network of 60+ plants and ~400 DCs annually. The Network Strategy/Inventory Optimization team plays a critical role in helping the supply chain function efficiently, and in delivering optimized landed costs for the products, as well as ensuring that inventory levels remain optimized across the businesses. The team evaluates the full end-to-end supply chain network in identifying inventory opportunities and sourcing solutions, with a key focus on cost, capacity, capability, and logistics.

The SC Strategy Associate Manager is an integral part of the Network Strategy/Inventory Optimization team, with primary responsibility for the following:

  • Working with designated Divisional and Sector based stakeholders, actively manage the process of soliciting, identifying, quantifying, & prioritizing potential network sourcing Productivity opportunities
  • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend potential network sourcing Productivity Initiatives, taking into consideration production capability & capacity requirements, transport & logistics costs, potential CAPEX requirements, distribution channel options, and aggregate sourcing costs
  • Work effectively with numerous cross functional partners across the PBNA Supply Chain, including Integration, SC Planning, Finance, M&W, Field locations and Logistics, to enable speed to market, and efficient functional sourcing solutions
  • Be proficient in running and updating Supply chain software models using Network Optimization tools such as LogicNet and/or Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing capacity reporting to highlight current year upside capacity, as well as long term capacity needs to support PBNA growth
  • Provide clear, concise, consistent, and insightful analytics around distribution costs, trends, issues, and opportunities for PBNA
  • Deliver ongoing and ad-hoc reporting to help inform and drive landed cost opportunities within the network
  • Support the development of key content for leadership discussions, including S&OP and Capacity Reviews
  • Continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes in support of network optimization efforts

Qualifications/Requirements

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred in Supply Chain, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering
Work Experience:
  • 5-7 years of Supply Chain experience with exposure to network optimization preferred
Skills & Capabilities:
  • Expert technical problem solver, capable of analyzing large datasets for integrity and comparison
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence management skills, with ability to function effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, each against time bound completion requirements
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Supply chain network optimization tools, like LogicNet is a plus
