What youll do:
The Quality and Food Safety Senior Coordinator contributes to the success of PepsiCo by ensuring the overall quality and food safety of ingredients and finished products in accordance with the companys standards. Responsibilities include but not limited to auditing, verifying, and validating documentation and processes across quality and food safety management systems. This includes but not limited to analytical testing, department purchasing, regulatory and compliance audits while also supporting the Quality Department and Food Safety Team to achieve organizational standards.
Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:
Audits site Quality and Food Safety documentation including record review, retention and document control standards
Verify and validate documentation and processes across quality and food safety management systems including but not limited to TEPs, Carpars, and consumer complaints.
Assists in regulatory audits/inspections (i.e. AIBI, FDA, ISO F2200 Standard) and internal auditing programs
Provides support and audits QC department LCAs for effective vs noneffective controls and processes.
Ensures execution of Manufacturing Control Plans including but not limited to scheduling of equipment maintenance and calibrations related to the Quality Department
Assists in team execution of key food safety pre-requisite programs such as: GMP compliance, sanitation, documentation and recordkeeping, regulatory audits, etc.
Assists site technical capability by development and training of standard operation procedures
Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally to assist teams to solve food safety, regulatory and compliance, and quality control issues
Associate degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
Previous experience within the quality control department of a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverages/consumer packaged goods.
Comprehensive knowledge of FSMA, HACCP and GMPs
PCQI, HACCP or similar certifications preferred
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
Demonstrated capability to work with cross functional teams to develop technical capabilities.
Ability to balance priorities and execute change management cross functionally and across multiple levels of the organization
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
