**ROLE SUMMARY**

The primary function of this position is to support the manufacturing areas assigned by performing necessary sanitation activities to ensure the effective and efficient sanitation of the aseptic and terminal sterilized facility. The Sanitation Operator is responsible for the execution and documenting necessary sanitation activities as requirement of site procedures. They will be responsible to ensure proper current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP) and forms are reconciled and completed appropriately.

Aseptic processing is the most critical manufacturing aspect of the site. Sanitation is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the room, line equipment, and all support areas where the product will be filled. Personnel working in sanitation must be able to learn and adhere to the fundamental basics of aseptic processing to avoid contamination of environment. Any lapse in understanding, judgment, and technique will impact product manufactured in the area. Personnel must always work with integrity to prevent contamination of the product.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Work cross functionally with Operations, Biological Quality, and Manufacturing Quality to ensure the timely sanitation of the facility.

+ Complete and reconcile sanitation documents.

+ Read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cleaning procedures.

+ Follow good documentation practices and manufacturing practices.



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

+ Requires strong oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills. The position is self-directed and requires an appropriate level of education and experience to make and act upon decisions that impact the site from an aseptic standpoint.

+ Ability to demonstrate proper aseptic gowning.



**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**



+ 1+ year(s) experience working in an aseptic or related environment.

+ Thorough knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and current Good Documentation Practices (cGDPs).



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**



+ Functions effectively in stressful situations while remaining focused on the necessary requirements. Appropriately identify and escalate issues on a timely basis.

+ Ability to work in aseptic environment fully gowned in hood, gown, boots, mask, goggles (no skin exposed, makeup, jewelry, colognes, artificial nails or lashes, nail polish, etc).

+ Endures exposure to cleaning chemicals fumes.

+ Performs physical labor including mopping, wiping, bending, lifting, and standing on feet for long periods of time.



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**

This role is a 12-hour night shift role, 7pm - 7am on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule. Must be flexible to work outside of regular working hours as needed to support business demands.
