Who You Will Work With 

GVSE is a sales organization that has an unprecedented opportunity for innovation and growth within Cisco Sales. This organization is responsible for selling to customers virtually (ie, hub-based) and scaling the sales motion through digital capabilities, partner ecosystems, and recruiting/developing the next generation virtual sales talent.  GVSE is a global organization across the major geographies including the Americas (US, Canada, LatAm), EMEAR (Europe, Middle East, Africa), and Asia Pacific. 


What You'll Do

Cisco seeks a results-driven operations professional who understands Ciscos sales processes, backoffice setup, compensation plans, and business reporting tools.  You will lead a team of operations personnel across the Americas geography and Segments including US Commercial, US Public Sector, Latin America, and Service Provider, and you will be directly responsible for covering the Canada, virtual partner, and service sales operations.  You will work collaboratively with the global virtual operations team along with peers in the other geographies including Europe and Asia to align on planning, deliverables, and best practices.

New Year Setup, Planning, and Goaling

  • Manage key deliverables to ensure completion on required due dates
  • Work with field counterparts and finance on sales hierarchy
  • Setting up seller assignments to territories and accounts
  • Be a voice for sales compensation plans and plan elements for sales roles
  • Build sales crediting rules
  • Set up seller goalsheets for approval
Running the business
  • Analyze business performance and build insights for leader decision support
  • Quantitatively track action with result (ie, causation)
  • Prepare quarterly business review material and key commentaries on the business
  • Support sales leaders on business forecast rollup
  • Work with business analysts on reporting & reporting requirements
  • Managing on top bonus and incentive programs (aka SPIFFs & contests)
  • Review and validate winners for global sales recognition programs (Achiever, Sales Champion, Chairmans Club, Manager Excellence)
Team Leadership
  • Mentor and develop newer Ops managers in role
  • Build consistency of execution and leverage of best practices across Americas
  • Working with key business partners: Sales leaders, Finance, Field Operations, WW GVSE Operations, Digital Sales Acceleration, Partner Organization, WW Sales Comp, and others

Who You Are
  • 7+ years experience in sales operations or other operations roles
  • Understanding of Cisco sales hierarchy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of Sales comp plans, plan elements & mixes, bonus codes
  • Sales crediting process and rules
  • Able to analyze different sources of data & organize into meaningful insights
  • Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills
  • Problem solver ability to break down complex issues into solvable parts
  • Strong organization skills and results driven mindset
  • Software comp strategy and broader industry experience a plus
  • Bachelors degree BA/BS.  Background in finance, operations, process engineering a plus
