Please review the following job description: 

Position is Systems Analyst for Insurance Agency Management System. Provide systems analysis support for interfacing business and computer application systems. Develop or modify procedures to solve complex business problems considering client needs, application capabilities and industry requirements. Work with Business Analysts, Developers, Operations, Vendors and other tech partners to ensure effective design and configuration of system. This is considered an expert role and is business and IT facing. 

Job Description 

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 

  • Gather, formulate and define requirements to solve intermediate to complex business problems.
  • Provide technical team members, vendor and users with assistance solving application related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
  • Analyze requirements, to help plan and design applications using techniques, such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering.
  • Plan and execute appropriate testing (e.g. test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business applications.
  • Coordinate the installation and application enhancements and/or releases.
  • Expand or modify applications to serve new purposes or improve work flow.
  • Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
  • Develop, document and revise flow chart’s system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist with review and analysis of applications, including performance results, to help identify and resolve problems.
  • Work with Business and Risk Teams to respond to audits and work with Business, Risk Teams and Vendor to resolve audit/compliance issues.
  • Serve as project leaders for small-sized systems projects and work with project office and business on related projects. 


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training Six years of experience or equivalent proficiency in application analysis and design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Ability to direct and train other team associates
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with Sagitta, AMS360, EPIC and insurance industry knowledge a plus.

Availability - Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.

Travel (Must select one) - Minimal and up to 10%
